Pitch your tent or park your small trailer or RV in a picturesque orchard on the edge of Petit Jean Mountain. You'll have a backdrop of woods and grazing sheep, with the Petit Jean Farmer's Market barn -- offering locally sourced produce, cheese (some made on the premises), baked goods, honey, preserves, meat, and crafts -- only steps away. The market operates on Saturdays, when hot lunches are often served, but it is open on a self-serve basis the rest of the week. Petit Jean State State Park is a very short drive, with spectacular hiking trails, a CCC-built lodge and restaurant, and a lake.
Campers are welcome to use the fire pit, grill, and trampoline, and they have access to the half-bath in the barn. They're also more than welcome to help Ed with the chores : )
An electric hookup is $10. Firewood is available for $10.

Ed is the best host. If you got any problem, just let him know. He will do his best to help you out.
This site was very accessible, the owner was inviting and informative, the facilities were readily available, and Petit Jean State park is just a short drive away.
The campsite is small and under trees, so it is really nice. (You can even rent a glam tent!) He is very good at communicating and it was easy to find. His big red barn was awesome, right next door with a bathroom and (cold) shower, kuerig machine, microwave, toaster, fresh eggs, honey and more! Every weekend there is a farmer’s market with fresh produce and we even got some fresh-fruit pies, cheese, eggs and bread! There is also a lovely picnic area and in-ground trampoline on the other side of the barn. He is raising sheep and makes sheep-cheese.
The drawbacks are that the campsite is right on the road, so there is some traffic noise. Also, the sheep were really cool and fun, but they wake you up every morning at 6:30, bellowing to be fed. (They’re in really small pens that are filthy, but he says they are only temporary and hates keeping them in such a small area. The bunny, Clover, is in a teeny, tiny cage, as well…)
The state park, 4 miles away has several camp areas that are spaced well. We would stay there, if we went back so we could have a hot shower, sleep late and just visit Ed’s wonderful barn and market.
Ed was so sweet and welcoming and his camping spot was wonderful! Petit Jean State Park right down the road was beautiful. All in all would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a spot to stay in Arkansas.
We had a wonderful time camping! My sister did the “glamping” option through cozy camper and we did the hipcamp. The kids loved the trampoline and playing with the sheep. Would highly recommend!
As always, this place is the BEST! Will continue to stay here again and again. There is no better place to stay when visiting Petit Jean. Beautiful, peaceful, local goods just steps away, Ed is always a delight and hiking is minutes away.

This Farmer's Market was the perfect stop for two nights of much needed rest. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was invigorating. The sheep and cows kept us entertained until bedtime, and the market had all types of refreshments available for purchase. Ed was very friendly, knowledgeable, and the perfect host. Looking forward to returning.
We enjoyed our stay at Petit Jean Farmers Market. Ed is a very welcoming and gracious host. It was just what we were looking for.
We have done a few Hipcamps in the past few weeks, and all of them have been good. We absolutely loved staying on Ed’s land. It has everything we need or want, it’s lovely in a quirky sort of way, and Ed couldn’t be a more welcoming and helpful host. It is also convenient to some great hikes in a nearby beautiful state park.
