Private campsite Near Saguaro NP

Claire and her husband were gracious hosts. It’s a beautiful setting and I appreciated being able to use hook ups. It’s 30 minutes from the desert museum in Saguaro National Park.

Claire is a wonderful hostess and has created a lovely, inviting, whimsical campsite in her back yard, complete with a walking labyrinth and a beautiful outdoor bathroom handcrafted by he husband. The only downside is that you may not get a complete serene desert experience as there are neighbors nearby. A neighbor on side was blasting music and when that stopped we had an hour or two of quiet until the neighbor on the other side had his TV turned up super loud to a basketball game -- go Phoenix!

Fantastic tentsite, with everything you could want: gas grill, sink with running water, soft wood chipped tent pad, and even a strong internet signal at the camp. Very close to the Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park, so if the public campground is full, this is a quiet, private alternative.

Great place for tent campers, shady spot with a gas grill, sink with running water, wood chipped tent spot, picnic table with an umbrella. Spotless toilet and outdoor warm shower close by. Excellent base to explore the Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park within 10 miles. Superb.

Lovely 4 acres, paths, shade, bathhouse with rain shower, labyrinth and gentle hosts.

I enjoyed staying at Claire’s place, because it is small. Can’t go wrong with a total of two campsites and a shared bathhouse! It is a quirky, and relaxing, place, with a short drive to Saguaro West. Watched some small wildlife as well.

We enjoyed our short stay here. The tent spot was comfortable and highly functional. I wish we would have had more time to relax at the site, as the provided amenities were all inviting. Next time....

This is the best hip camp I have ever stayed at. The directions were clear and the place was easy to find. The hosts met us at the gate and gave us a tour of the property. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, they supplied us with towels for the outdoor shower and a wagon to bring our gear from the car to the campsite. There was another family camping on site, but there was plenty of space between campsites. My partner and I especially enjoyed the mediation labyrinth! Overall a great value with many amenities. I would love to visit again and will recommend Claire and Gary’s campsite to any friends I have visiting the Tuscon area!

This place is a gem if you’re looking to get away from the city! Such a quiet well maintained space. Very close to the west side of Saguaro National Park. Hosts were friendly and helpful!
