You may reserve online (with a processing fee, and if 7 days ahead) or first-come-first-serve as available. This is a prime site. It has a private table (not covered) and private fire pit and private access to the lake. It is not far from the toilets. Blueberry Lake State Recreation Site is located in spectacular Thompson Pass, 24 miles north of Valdez.

Wow, probably the most beautiful campground in Alaska! Thompson pass and Keystone canyon are on either sides and the most breathtaking drive in the whole state. This campsite has incredible views of the range, just incredible. It's paved, quite and very private from other sites. Definitely our favorite!
