What a fantastic experience! The entire campground has been well thought out and is beautiful! It sits alongside the Tensaw River and offers fishing, boating, and wildlife spotting! Each campsite is extremely private and easily accessible by car or truck. The Primitive Campsites are well marked and are shaded by massive Live Oak trees! Each site has its own fire pit and picnic table.
The Backcountry sites are more remote and are accessed either by nature trails or by canoe / kayak via a small creek that flows off the Tensaw river!
The RV Campground is a new addition to this campground and offers 28 large, semi-private sites. Each has electric hookup, water, and picnic tables! There is also a new bath house that provides campers with hot showers!
Overall the Like Oak Landing campground is a great place for families or more adventurous campers looking peaceful sites and privacy! The host was exceptional and very friendly! I can't wait to go back!
The staff was very warm and welcoming! Simple and easy camping! Had a very relaxing and fun time hiking in the trails and hanging out by the water! Highly recommended!
This place is great.
There is a separate rv camp for those whe need hookups. We went off the beaten path and camped in the woods with our tuck-top tent.
There is a little general store and bathrooms in the event you need help with amenities.
Wish id known the store wo ui ld not be open.
Other than that, it was agreat first y il me camping experience for my grandchildren.
Great spot for boaters.
Well kept camp site with plenty of space between site for privacy. Beautiful oaks with hanging moss.
The host never mentioned that the general store where we were supposed to check in closed at 6pm, and when we got there at around 6:30 we spent about an hour trying to find the store (the road to get to it was flooded and there was no signage which he said to look for). We tried to contact the host via text and call and didn't manage to get a hold of him until about two hours after we'd arrived. We ended up camping somewhere random on the property and spent the night worried that we would be woken up to someone telling us we weren't supposed to be there.
