When is the best time to visit Linlithgow?

For long days and the best chance of good weather, visiting Linlithgow between May and August is recommended. September is a good alternative for fewer crowds and a still pleasant climate. Winters are mild and a great time to see wintering wildfowl on Linlithgow Loch.
