Nestled amongst trees are two unique hand crafted eco cabins from reclaimed wood and local materials. Each characterful cabin has a wood burner and verandas, a spacious private garden with a fire pit and it's own parking. One cabin has an outdoor bath with another in progress. Relax, breathe and soak up the vibrant green of West Wales. Our property is 0.3 miles down a secluded track surrounded by a mixture of farmland and woods. We've a quiet private woodland behind us which connects to the public footpath and follows the stream in the valley. To the south there is an open meadow with far reaching views to the Preseli Hills. Follow the footpaths down to the Teifi river where you can walk or canoe along the river and gorge walk to Cilgerran and Cardigan, taking in wildlife and history. The cabins are 6 miles from the stunning beaches and rugged coastal path of Ceredigion, a wealth of Neolithic sites, ancient woodland and contemporary Welsh culture in bustling Cardigan. There's every comfort to make your stay a home from home; comfortable bedding, handmade and reclaimed furniture and a simple, well equipped kitchen. Highly insulated it's easy to heat with the wood burner. Outside there's your own private compost toilet and a gas powered shower. We work from home on various creative projects and therapies and after an initial meet and greet we leave our guests in peace unless you need something. We use regenerative principles to guide us in enhancing Nature here, encouraging wildlife with the trees, flowers, herbs and fruits. If we're able to we often give little tours of the garden and workshop so do ask if your'e interested.

Red Cabin in the Nut Orchard

This beautifully crafted cabin is tucked away under pine trees and looks out over the nut orchard. The entrance is under a covered verandah, the door opens into a well lit kitchen with a two ring gas hob, a fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and sinnk with cold running water only. There's a lounge area with a wood burning stove and then a fabulous sturdy handmade bed with a view out of the large window to the East to catch the morning sunshine. There's a morning open veranda out from the glass doors where you can step onto fresh green grass, sit under the trees and light a campfire. There's a footpath at the bottom of the garden into the wooded gorge and open fields to the south full of a rich diversity of grasses and herbs. The bathroom or Ty Bach is reached over a little bridge and has a sink with hot and cold running water, a warm shower and a compost toilet. Behind the Ty Bach are the stores where you can top up your firewood, charcoal or stream your waste. The private parking space is by the pine trees on the right as you arrive.

Ty Cariad

Ty Cariad is a unique, well built, folksy cabin set in it's own spacious wildlife garden. It has a sunny southern aspect, a Forest Garden on one side and a pond on the other. There are trees in the garden for you to sling your hammock between. There are veranda's for you to sit on, sleep on and stretch on. There's a rough track in front and then an open meadow stretching away which you can access over a stile. This also leads into Nant Eifed, a quiet wooded valley where you can explore the paths and stream. There's another small cabin on our site, hidden about 50 metres away which also has it's own private garden. Of course there's us around. We work from home in our workshop and studio and we leave guests to themselves unless they need help. You have your own compost toilet and gas powered warm shower and a fabulous outdoor wood fired bath in the garden too. There's a fire pit with basic cooking equipment supplied. Inside the cabin there's a log burner, a small equipped kitchen, a king size bed, armchairs and a little table and chairs. We supply logs and rough wood which are included in the price. Ty Cariad is great for summer or winter as it's easy to keep cool and easy to heat up.
