You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by over 100 acres of open land, but you're only 2.3 miles from the fun town of Shelburne Falls. The cabin itself is a short walk from our house along path ...down a line of maples and under a garden arch. Solar lights, a cozy woodstove, a comfortable dobule bed with clean sheets, and a writing table make this the perfect spot for writing your magnum opus. Sit by the campfire, have wine and cheese on the picnic table, , wander along garden paths filled with native plants, relax with a book, or just enjoy the view. You'll see the hills and some great sky, especially on a clear night. The famous Bridge of Flowers and the amazing glacial potholes are just down the road. Adventurousa? Head out and explore our lively hilltown community-- rafting, tubing (we have two tubes you can borrow), canoeing, or biking (scenic roads or trails). You can also cool off at one of the many crystal-clear local swimming holes or enjoy a delicious dinner in town.The Cabin is a short walk from the main house (occupied by your hosts). The dunny (Kiwi for outhouse) is private and will only be used by you. You are welcome to enjoy the 2 acres of our property and its garden paths. The surrounding land is also open and accessible for walking.

What a Spot!
The Cabin
What a beautiful spot — with a breathtaking view. Very quiet, and a perfect place to write. Watched a bluebird hunt insects right outside my window. Then I woke up early to listen to the dawn birdsong, one of those things I’d always wanted to do, Wood thrushes and hermit thrushes among the many singers — those are my absolute favorites. Julie is the most wonderful host!!

such a great stay - wish we got to stay for longer! sweet dog, kind, responsive, and informative hosts, and such a beautiful property. we will be back for sure! buckland pizza was awesome as well - a must try during your stay! thank you Julie and Dave :)

The Cabin
We had a great time at the cabin! We did the late check in, and Julie was very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was very clean and cozy. There was a great view in the morning, and lots of land to walk and explore. Great place to spend the weekend and explore the area.

We had a great one-night stay in the cabin. It was a colder night, but the wood stove heated up quickly. The views from the cabin are beautiful as well. The hosts were welcoming and helpful in recommending local places to visit. We will stay here again if we are ever in Shelburne Falls!
