This is a beautiful campsite in a stunning area of England and the hosts are so delightful. its all simple and safe and we had a really good time.
A few points of clarity for us would have been, the purchases for site ( logs ) need to be a bit more structured on how much you can have per purchase, but we paid up for what we used in the end.
Truly cannot compliment the hosts and site enough though, thank you for a wonderful stay.

The Glade
We stayed in the Glade cabins, which suited our group of 6. We found the cabins well equipped, and loved the friendly pigs, horses, and chickens!

I love this campsite ! beautiful setting you can't hear any roads. The facilities are great there is a fridge, kettle and a covered area with seating which we used on our rainy weekend in the Cotswolds. The toilets and showers are clean with some cute rustic touches. The pitches have subtle paths and boundries and there are woods next to the camping meadow for exploring. The only downside is you have to take your own rubbish and re-cycling away.

We stayed in the glade glamping huts. On arrival we were greeted by Petra who is super friendly and helpful. Thr glade huts are lovely and comfortable and offer everything you need , they are set in a private area so you feel like you're in your own little woodland retreat with lovely views over a meadow with beautiful grey horses as neighbours. We loved the fire pits and egg chairs.

Great site and lovely hosts! A very welcoming site for a warm weekend. I hear it can get quite busy though and when wet is prone to flooding. So best to avoid peak or wet times.
Amenities were fantastic and the woods and fields were a great bit of nature to surround yourself with. I think they could be clearer on the firepit and firewood buying - we almost didn’t pay as thought it was included but luckily saw the honesty box qr code just in time!

We stayed 2 night camping, was a lovely clean site. Beautiful towns near by to explore and plenty of places to go walk. Host was cheerful and very helpful. We would absolutely come back again!

Small Avalon Cabin
We loved our weekend at Wolford Wood! There was a real off-grid feel to the place, with its long wild meadows and woods, and a friendly vibe from the owners and the other campers. The cabins are cosy and comfortable, with vintage bedding and mod coms including a lamp and power sockets. Best things; the outdoor kitchens, the firepits and outdoor seating, and the completely adorable pigs in a field full of outdoor toys and games - swing ball was a big hit. Thank you Daisy... We'll be back!

Pros: beautiful meadow spacious setting, stunning woodland, lots of tables and chairs near outdoor kitchen, lovely long grass helps your pitch feel private, well kept communal areas, covered areas with table and chairs for rainy moments, woodland bits you can camp in, great balance of sociable but private feel to the camping, friendly piggies and chickens, fantastic showers and toilets, wheelbarrows for kit, fridge and kettle and mugs!!!, very friendly host and welcome, fire pits allowed and rentable, no cars in camp field - all these things are great.
Cons: it would be good if there had been just a few mown paths through the wildflower meadow to help with wheelbarrows and access for this members of the family who are less sure footed. Don’t think it would detract from wonderful tall grass meadow. Would also mean people don’t end up walking so close to other peoples tents (which happens as you tend to follow stomped paths!).
Would also be good to be able to pay a surcharge to leave your rubbish there.
Helpful Feedback: the Hipcamp listing should have move photos showing the range of wonderful camping, and more pics of the beautiful meadow, and pics of tents and fire pits etc (it’s rather over emphasises the cabins at the moment!)

Lovely relaxed site with good facilities and some friendly pigs to scratch. The camping is in a meadow which is unmown, so the grass is thigh-high. A few areas had been squashed down by previous campers, but when we arrived none of these were free, so we had to set up the tent and our 'living space' outside the tent on the tall grass, which some of our party didn't like due to having to walk through the long grass to get too and from the tent. I appreciate the benefits of nature but as a campsite I think it would be better if there were some mown pitches.

The campsite is very spacious and well-maintained. Very good facilities, and nice nature walks you can start right from the campsite. Would happily return and highly recommend!

In the main, this is a very good campsite. They get a lot right-- especially the kettle which was a small but brilliant idea. The facilities were decent and the camping spaces were lovely and all of that was helped by the weather which far exceeded expectations.
Shame then that that you have to pack out your rubbish. Not that we weren't told -- we were, but it's never something that we would check when making a booking. At the end of a weekend when you have kids and dogs and the like, the last thing you really want to put in your car is a weekend worth of rubbish. Likewise, a minor gripe was that the hot water was turned off for a period of time and it was not known by the campers how to turn it back on. So would I recommend this to another family -- yeah, I think I would. But they could and should do something sensible about the rubbish (maybe charge a hefty surcharge for the inconvenience.

I loved staying in the Avalon Cabin at Wolford Woods. Wolford provided all the amenities needed for a glamping experience. The toilet facilities were very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend and I would come back again!!

Nice location. Really good shower facilities, plus washing up area with fridge freezer where you can keep your stuff cold. Wheel barrows provided to get your kit to your tent site. It’s not far from the car park anyhow. Long grass all around so if wet wellies are a good idea.

What a gem of a place! We stayed in the small Avalon, which was perfect and warm! We enjoyed still feeling like we were camping even though we didn't have our tents. I appreciated that cars are not allowed on the pitch. All the amenities were amazing, stocked kitchen and fridge available for use, clean bathrooms. And best of all, Petra was sooo lovely. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I am extremely thankful of her hospitality!
