Reconnect with nature, gently. Welcome to our low-impact, off-grid campsite nestled within a working permaculture fruit and herb farm. Here, a small flock of sheep graze as part of an ongoing project to restore a wildflower meadow. The land is alive with colour, birdsong and butterflies—and you’re invited to experience it at your own peaceful pace. 🌿 Space to breathe Only two pitches are available at any time (up to 8 people per pitch). Each pitch has: Private fire pit overlooking wide countryside views Camping area with on the lower slope near the shower and main compost toilet Retreat into the woodland strip at the top of the field—perfect for hammocks, hammock tents, shade in summer, quiet chats and listening to the wind through the trees. 🏕️ Extra comfort if the weather turns Add the large group tent, ideal for gatherings, sleeping or simply escaping the heat. It includes a yoga deck / flat outdoor space, perfect for truly unwinding. Looking for a secure field kitchen? We can open the horsebox on the top field (small extra cost). It’s ideal for food storage, camp stoves and gear while you explore beaches and trails. 🌟 Special Exclusive Rental Hire the entire campsite area for your group £250 for up to 10 people up to 10 additional guests at £25/night per person Make the farm yours..... 🌄 Views worth waking up for: From the fire pits you’ll see far-reaching countryside views, and just a short walk away on Mountain Field or at The Balehouse (Hastings Country Park café & info centre) you’ll find truly breathtaking scenes over Rye Bay. Nature is the heartbeat here—bluebells in May, orchard blossoms, butterflies drifting through the herbs, and birdsong that wraps around the woodland. At night, the skies open up to the stars; in the morning, you’ll wake to dew-kissed grass and the first rays of sun. 🧘‍♀️ A slower kind of camping Bring a yoga mat, greet the day on the deck, cook outdoors, walk the cliffs, or unwind under the trees. Gather friends and family for a fire, BBQ, or a giant picnic—this field was made for simple, shared moments. 📌 Practical Notes Working farm: the farmer and WWOOFers are on site in areas separate from camping facilities. Exclusive use refers to the campsite areas, not the entire farm. Please bring your own drinking water.

Small Meadow Camping Pitch 2

Tent pitch · Sleeps 6
Fire pit 2, is at the top of the field by the woodland and can host up to 6 people. There will only ever be two groups on the field camping, each with their own fire area. The firepit area is perfect for cooking and staying up with a campfire, on a clear night you can see the milky way and zillions of stars. When you rent a pitch you will automatically have your own private fire pit with the option of renting the horsebox as a field kitchen/ shelter. There is also a large 4 x 6 m group tent, as weather back up or simply to hang out or sleep in. Just get in touch with the owner - you can add this last minute if you need it. There is a compost toilet and a shower cubical, which can operate with your own shower bag , though their are some on site to borrow, and a camp water pump shower head if preferred. Each fire pit has a woodland compost toilet tent, which is a more sustainable option to use alongside the compost toilet unit and nearer the fire. If you have a larger group you can rent both pitches, the maximum amount of campers in a large group is 12 people. Just rent both pitches and then add additional guests, or get in touch with the owner for a group rate, depending on how many nights you stay.....

Escape. Unwind. Make it yours. Welcome to exclusive hire camping — where the entire meadow campsite becomes your private retreat. Gather your favourite people, pitch your tents, light the fire pits and breathe in the stillness of nature. Wander beneath the trees, listen to the birds or watch bats near the woodland, or sit with a hot drink as the stars rise. This is camping the way it should be—peaceful, simple, and entirely yours. A spacious group tent is available to hire separately, perfect for hanging out, for shade during hot days, or shelter when the weather turns. Our location sits on a charming, working farm. The owner may visit to tend to plants, harvest produce or care for the sheep—real countryside life, unfolding gently around you. You’ll receive a farm gate key, allowing your group to come and go freely by vehicle. While the sheep field, barns and orchard are off-limits, you’re welcome to enjoy the woodland hammocks, open spaces, yoga deck and fire circles. Take home a taste of the farm—homemade jam, fresh fruit and chutney are available to purchase. Please note: campers bring their own drinking water. This is the perfect place for groups who respect nature and crave quiet: 🌲 Outdoor cooking 🌊 Exploring nearby beaches 🚶‍♀️ Woodland walks ✨ Evenings under a wide, star-lit sky

Small Meadow Camping Field Pitch 1

Motorhome/tent pitch · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 15 m
Campers are welcome to pitch tents, use the fire pits, walk, sit & camp; enjoy the woodland. There is a caravan with a gas cooker for making tea if the weather is bad. Expecting guests to cook over the fire in good weather. There is wood to use at a pay as you feel cost, also a big group tent that can be hired additionally (if not booked by any other activities). The farm is a working farm so the owner visits to care for plants and sheep, or to support other campers and retreat centre groups. Campers will be given the farm gate to come and go as they please if they have vehicles, but parts of the farm like farm barns, sheep field and orchard are generally off limits. Campers can book a meal made from some farm produce, by prior agreement ..There are farm products on sale such as jam, fruit and chutney. Campers are expected to bring their own drinking water. As one of the barns has solar power its possible to arrange to charge phones etc with the owner. I'm looking for campers that crave peace and quiet and respect nature, but want to enjoy outdoor cooking, exploring beaches, walking etc and sitting under the stars at night..
