Welcome to Gratton Hideaway- a hidden gem in the Devon countryside. Stay in one of our two beautiful hand crafted Shepherds huts tucked away in our peaceful small holding and hobby vineyard. Surrounded by nature you can truly unwind in the wood fired hot tub as you admire the far reaching views. Gratton Hideaway is a smallholding of around 3.75 acres where we grow 200 vines for wine production, we make cider from our apples and grow our own vegetables and fruit produce. It's the ideal place to relax and really switch off. We are perfectly placed half way between Bideford and Bude, if you love the beach, then just 25 minutes in either direction you will find some of the best in the South West. The huts have wood fired hot tubs, mains electric and mains water supply, a lovely shower room with loo, washbasin and shower. We provide all bedding and towels so you don't have to bring your own. There is a cosy sitting/dining area inside by the fully equipped kitchen which includes a butler sink, oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Each outside area includes a fire pit with a bbq grill and seating for dining and relaxing. Everything you really need for your country escape.

Shepherd's hut · Sleeps 2

The Big Hut is one of our two bespoke Shepherd's huts that we have here at Gratton Hideaway. It' the bigger of the two and is situated in the top field close to the vineyard. Complete with private hot tub it is fully equipped with everything you need for a holiday break of any length. The hut has mains electric and mains water supply, a lovely full-sized shower room with loo, washbasin and shower. We provide all bedding, towelling robes and towels so you don't have to bring your own. For sleeping there is a king size bed complete with mattress topper and super comfy duvet. There is a sitting/dining area inside by the fully equipped kitchen which includes a butler sink, oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, glasses, crockery and cutlery. The outside area includes a wood burning hot tub, a fire pit with bbq grill, 2 deck chairs and seating for dining and relaxing. Everything you really need for your country escape. We kindly ask that you please leave your dogs at home, as we are unable to accommodate them on the property. Thank you for your understanding!

The Little Hut is one of our two bespoke Shepherd's huts that we have here at Gratton Hideaway. It' the littler of the two and it's perfectly formed. This hut is situated in the lower field and has uninterrupted countryside views. It's a tiny space with a massive personalty. Complete with its own private wood fired hot tub and stunning views it is fully equipped with everything you need for a holiday break of any length. The hut has mains electric and mains water supply, a lovely shower room with loo, washbasin and shower. We provide all bedding and towels so you don't have to bring your own. The bed is a small double (4 ft x 6ft) and pulls down at night time then stores away in the day- simple! There is a cosy sitting/dining area inside by the fully equipped kitchen which includes a butler sink, oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Outside there is a table and chairs on the decking where you can really take in the views. A fire pit and bbq grill is provided including charcoal and wood. Everything you really need for your country escape. We kindly ask that you please leave your dogs at home, as we are unable to accommodate them on the property. Thank you for your understanding!

Perfect weekend away!

The Big Hut

We had the best time at The Big Hut! Honestly don't have a bad thing to say. From the minute we booked we knew we had made the right choice! Sarah's welcome email was lovely and as her and Kevin weren't going to be there that weekend they gave us Sophie's number, who was looking after the site. Sophie was lovely and so welcoming, anything we needed she was able to sort! The hut was perfect, literally everything has been so well thought out. There's nothing we would change. The bed was SO comfortable and the shampoo and conditioner smelt so lovely! It's all the small touches that made it so homely and welcoming! The hot tub was perfect for the evenings, we were able to go and stroke the sheep and goats and had fresh duck and chicken eggs in the morning. We will definitely be back, such a gem of a place!
