We have a family friendly Quiet campsite in the heart of Lancashire on our family run farm. Our site is situated in a species rich meadow field with large mown Pitches surrounded by wild flowers and meandering pathways linking the site together. We are surrounded by a young trees & woodland with the back drop of the Pennines. We offer both glamping and traditional non EHU camping on our site, with lovely hot showers, clean toilet facilities, fresh water point, pot wash area, phone charger lockers, communal freezers, elsan disposal point, microwave, coffee/hot chocolate machine, and our little honesty shack with all little camping essentials to might need whilst staying with us. We also hire out picnic benches and fire pits to help enhance your camping experience. We have a lovely little woodland walk, with a meandering mown path, that winds through our woodland/conservation area. Perfect to walk your dog, and let your kids explore. Adjoining the campsite, we have a padock with super frindly sheep that love to say hello. We sell little bags of sheep feed, just incase you'd like to give them a little treat. In the middle of the site, we have a little tots play area, perfect for keeping you're small kids entertained. We are a Quiet family site, with a Reduced Noise policy from 9 pm, and Quiet Time from 10 pm to 8.30 am. Latest check in time is 8PM, unless prearranged with the campsite. Our site has close links to the A6 and m6 J33. We are only 13 miles from the Historic city of Lancaster, the Bright lights of Blackpool and the jubilee city of Preston. 4 miles from the first fair trade market town of Garstang and 45 mins into the Lake District. There is also lots of interesting activities to do locally.

Our site is made to feel like your almost experiencing wild camping in a meadow with the benifits of a mown pitches and clean, modern facilities. Whilst We only have 17 camping Pitches 2 beautiful family bell tents spread over 8 acres giving you the feeling that you can be close enough to socialise with your neighbours if you'd like too but you'll never have to listen to them snoring. Our mown pitches are surounded by flowering meadow grasses and native wild flowers that provide a natural screen to give you the feel of privacy and seclusion whilst camping at Moss Rose Campsite. You dont see straight lines in nature, so our permiculture designed lay out is all wonderful round mown Pitches and curved pathways that meander through the meadow. Our campsite has a small kids play area in the centre of the site so you can relax on your pitch and keep an eye on you're little ones whilst letting them play and socialise as you relax and unwind on your pitch. Our camping Pitches are designed to accomodate upto a family of 6, With a single tent. You are welcome to errect a Gazebo/cooking tent on you're pitch. For example, a group of 6 single adults with 6 tents, or a group of 3 couples with three tents, would Not be able to book a single pitch and would have to book individual pitches. If you require a pup tent for you're children, along with you're main tent, this Is acceptable but you must request this before booking you're pitch. If you have any queries, feel free to message us before booking. We have lots of things to do locally from skydiving, the cinema, shooting range, archery, horse riding lessons, massage, the beach, river swimming, walking and more..

This is for solo motorcycle campers only. This does NOT include cars/ campervan campers. The vehicle allocation on this pitch is motorbike/trike only. Our site is made to feel like your almost experiencing wild camping in a meadow with the benifits of a mown pitches and clean, modern facilities. Whilst We only have 17 camping Pitches 2 beautiful family bell tents spread over 8 acres giving you the feeling that you can be close enough to socialise with your neighbours if you'd like too but you'll never have to listen to them snoring. Our mown pitches are surounded by flowering meadow grasses and native wild flowers that provide a natural screen to give you the feel of privacy and seclusion whilst camping at Moss Rose Campsite. You dont see straight lines in nature, so our permiculture designed lay out is all wonderful round mown Pitches and curved pathways that meander through the meadow. Our Solo motorbike camping Pitches are designed to accomodate 1 x Solo camper who are traveling on a motorbike/trike with one tent only. For example; A group of 6 motorbike campers with 6 tents would Not be able to book a Solo pitch, and would have to book individual pitches. If a group of solo motorbike campers book individually, you are welcome to all set up on the same pitch, if you'd like to camp together as a group. (As long as you can all fit on the pitch without being on the surrounding wild flower boarders). If we have ran out of allocations, feel free to message us, as we may be able to activate extra pitch allocations. Please do not book this pitch if you do not qualify as a Solo motorbike camper. (1x bike, 1 x person & 1x tent). If you do book this and don't meet the criteria, you will have to pay the ballance owed on arrival, we also reserve the right to cancel you're booking if required. This does NOT include Solo motorbike/ cars/ campervan campers. The vehicle allocation on this pitch is Pedal Bicycle only. Our site is made to feel like your almost experiencing wild camping in a meadow with the benifits of a mown pitches and clean, modern facilities. Whilst We only have 17 camping Pitches 2 beautiful family bell tents spread over 8 acres giving you the feeling that you can be close enough to socialise with your neighbours if you'd like too but you'll never have to listen to them snoring. Doyles Dell is our fully enclosed pitch. Fully fenced, gated and surounded by mature trees and hedging, giving you a truely private camping experience. Allow you're dogs to run free on you're pitch, without the need for them to be on a lead. Give you're kiddo's the freedom to play whilst keeping them safely within you're pitch. Doyles del has a large (30ft wide) amenity area, covered in larch chip, with a picnic bench and firepit and ample space to park. Over 100ft long grassed area, perfect to set up camp and enjoy you're time on our site. Narrowest point on thr grassed area is 4.5 mtrs and widest point is 6.5 mtrs. Peacock Pod, our beautiful glamping pod with wood fired hot tub, has been built with love and made to enjoy. She has been designed to create a tranquil, family friendly environment, truly allowing our guests to relax, unwind, and make ever lasting memories. Peacok pod is the perfect place to relax with your family. With its built in sensory mood lighting, and comfortable beds you'll feel truely relaxed. The pod sleeps 4 and has a double and two single hand crafted beds, with built in under bed storage and comfortable mattresses. The pod is full of lots of beautiful little features throughout. Outside you have a traditional sweedish style, wood fired hot tub, a decked area with a lovely set of chairs, side table, buntin & fairy lights, and to the side you have a family sized picnic bench, tripod BBQ/firepit. Perfect for roasting marshmallows under a star lit sky. She is nestled in our pirvate croft area. A third of a acre of well maintained grass with a strategically positioned fruit tree circle in the middle of the area. The croft is surounded by a mixture of native species trees, giving you the privacy and space to relax and unwind. The croft is located next to our 8 acre campsite giving you the option to enjoy time on the campsite and the space within your private and secluded area. This allows you to enjoy your stay exactly how you want too, whether it's socialising with our campsite guests or relaxing in the privacy of your own area. If you have adventure in your heart, Peacock Pod is a perfect base to explore the Lancashire countryside. Visit caves, shores, beacon fell, wild swim or head into the bright lights of Blackpool, the Historic City of Lancaster or the Jubilee city of Preston. We have amazing star lit skies & wonderful sun sets with little to no light pollution. So if you love sitting around a campfire watching glowing embers drifting into the star lit sky, whilst enjoying a little bit of luxury, Peacock Pod could be the place for you.

Our second time here. Absolutely wonderful hosts, John would’ve put our tent up for us just to stop us arguing!! They’re always around, cleaning, helping and chatting. Never known hosts like that before, it’s so nice. Loved all the baby birds!! Will definitely be back, thanks for a wonderful stay. Love Emma, Matt, Chloe and Alyssa xxx

I stayed at Moss Rose as a female, first time, solo camper, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to feel completely safe, relaxed, and build confidence for future solo escapades. So much so, that after my 3rd (officially booked) night, I was so happy that Kel & Joe had space for me to stay an extra night! The site itself is just perfect for me, feels "wild" in it's beautiful rural surroundings, with pitches mown into well defined areas separated by long grasses and wildflowers - but with the amenities of clean showers, toilets, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, microwave etc. So whilst I didn't need to use any of these, I can definitely pack lighter next time I stay knowing I don't have to haul as many toiletries, cooling, and charging equipment. I definitely enjoyed browsing in, and donating to little Stan's Honesty Shack for wood, kindling and other bits and bobs - he has it all covered! As hosts, you won't find friendlier that Kel, Joe, & John. It's so apparent how much they love what they do, and how much they invest in their guests loving their experience too. I can't wait to come back, wish I'd have found this little gem of a site and of a family before the end of the season x

Absolutely tranquil and family friendly site, second only to the amazing family run operation, which was so welcoming. Both John and Joe were interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible without being overbearing. They care for their site and their customers. We will definitely return like the many repeat customers they entertain, proving that they have got their product just right. Thanks again

Such a great place to go camping, the owners are amazing people and are always more then happy to help with anything, they have good facilities with hot water, showers, pot washing station, cold drinking water. They also have a small nature walk on site and long meadow grass and wild flower between plots. The plots are nicely spread out with lots of room between other campers and the pots are a good size. 10/10 would highly recommend

A fabulous campsite with a real family feel. Very friendly staff, clean facilities, lovely location, great supply in the honesty shop. My children loved playing in the play area which was central to part of the campsite. This meant they could happily make friends while we could keep a watchful eye and do other things at camp. Baby ducks! You can't go wrong.

We’ve just got back from 3 nights camping at Moss Rose. The owners are so friendly and helpful, the pitches are big and surrounded by lovely long grass. While the loos and showers are small they are very clean and shower hot and powerful. (I think there are plans to add more) The little play area in the middle is the central point for all children and great for keeping an eye on them from your pitch. The best think about the site is the lovely friendly atmosphere This was our second visit and definitely won’t be our last.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Moss Rose, our children adored going to the bathroom more than normal so they could watch the Quail, the chicks and ducklings! The children loved the play area and spent a lot of time playing with their new friends. The campsite was peaceful even with all the children running riot! Only downside was not seeing the sheep, but it only means we have to stay at the campsite again! We loved the little woodland walk round the campsite and the honesty shacks were so handy to have. Joe was a very welcoming host and went above and beyond what was expected for a campsite host. Our children said he was very lovely and funny! We can't wait to stay again and see the chicks they were allowed to name!

Lovely spot. very peaceful. Moss Rose team very friendly and welcoming. And feels like a responsible positive business they are developing, with bags of youthful enthusiasm and great environmental-impact philosophy. Washing/showers could do with an update as the business develops hopefully that can be improved a little.

We loved camping on John's farm I loved that they ate environmently friendly having their pitches surrounded by patches for wildlife an flowers ..Joe his son was always on hand if you needed anything . There was a fridge freezer ..microwave to use and coffee making facilities.Thete wa also Stans Honesty shack for essentials you might have forgotten. The views were great. We stayed for 3 nights and would have stayed a fourth but for a weather warning ..not Joe or John's fault!! Will definitely going back

Doyles Dell - fully enclosed pitch
We loved camping at Moss Rose Campsite. It was everything we needed and more. We've camped at Doyles Dell, enclosed pitch, as we were traveling with our dog. Plenty of space on the pitch, nice warm shower, washing up station, drinking water. Picnic benches and fire pits available to rent. Wood also available for a small fee. We were greeted by Joe, who was very friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcomed. We will definitely go back 😊

We loved camping at Moss Rose. It was my 16 month old son’s first time camping and it was perfect. Felt super safe and lots for him to explore. Facilities are great - we especially appreciated the fridge, microwave and charging facilities. The owners were super welcoming and on hand to answer any questions. We had the most perfect three days and can’t wait to return!

This place is fab!!! So well maintained. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly, the little honesty shed was stocked with all sorts of treats and necessities. Lovely views. Lots to do nearby as well and Garstang was lovely. The owners are really nice as well. Just so much thought put into everything, can't recommend it highly enough.

Wow absolutely loved this campsite. Exceeded my expectations and more. The site owners introducing themselves and making sure your comfortable is really welcoming. Each pitch is mowed into long grass/ wildflowers with paths connecting to communal areas so it feels private whilst still being open. I was solo camping with 2 toddlers who absolutely loved making friends in the play area, it also felt really safe. Flags are available to put under fire pits to protect the grass (love that). There is a fabulous honesty hut with everything by from fire wood, to sweets and snacks to ice pops! Even little things you forget like toiletries or marshmallows. There is also a coffee station you can make hot drinks paying into the honesty box again. There is a communal fridge and freezer which was so helpful to keep our milk cool on a super hot day. You can purchase sheep food for £1 in the honesty hut and the kids loved feeding the sheep in the morning. It’s not just your average campsite we really loved it here. The toilets, showers and washing up area are kept super clean and smelling fresh. There is even sanitary items available if in need.

5 Stars – A Rainy day Turned Wonderful at Moss Ross Camping! We recently stayed at Moss Ross Camping and despite the unpredictable weather, we had an amazing experience! What started as a rainy day quickly turned into one of the most memorable camping trips we've had—thanks entirely to the incredible owners. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality. When the rain came down hard, they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. just checking in with a friendly smile, their kindness truly stood out. The site itself is peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery—perfect for disconnecting and soaking in the outdoors. Even with the weather, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and we loved every minute of it. Rain or shine, Moss Ross Camping is a gem. The owners clearly care deeply about their guests, and it shows in every little detail. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’ll hope for sunshine, but we know we’ll have a great time either way!

Beautiful setting. Really friendly host. Absolutely loved the extra touches like being able to use a fridge-freezer and the snack and honesty box (I hope my girls put enough money in!) such a shame we had to leave early but the weather was just too awful but we will definitely be back another time.

The best campsite I've been to! They've managed to retain so much nature and in essence of being in the wild. Facilities are excellent and lots of thoughtful touches such as paving slabs that you can help yourself too to put underneath campfires, as well as a coffee machine and a microwave. The showers and toilets are clean and thoughtfully stocked. There's plenty to do in the local area and it's really close to the coast and some beaches. The family that run it are incredibly kind and thoughtful and are clearly doing a good thing by putting so much thought into preserving the wildlife around the site.

It was a beautiful campsite, quiet and friendly. John came round to welcome you . All amenities are quaint and clean. I don't live too far away, it was perfect to try camping on my own with the dog. I'll be going back.

We loved the peacock pod and would highly recommend. It’s perfect for a short weekend break with everything you need to have a good time . Pod was very cozy and the fire pit and gazebo was perfect. The inside was cozy and comfy and the owners were very welcoming . Would highly recommend!

I loved the campsite. Private and not too big. The middle of September so obviously there weren’t many people around, however, the facilities have been amazing. From the clean toulets to the coffee machine, microwave and even safe box. These were not listed on the af and i definitely think they should be. It is now saved to the places i will be returning during summer in the future

We had a wonderful time at Joe and Kel's lovely site. So nice and quiet. They were really helpful and accommodating and told us about great spots to check out in the local area too!

As with most Hipcamp sites we have visited this is a beautiful field with pitches mown into the meadow grass/flowers, some thought has gone into the positioning as well as most pitches being level (great help with a campervan). Toilet and shower facilities are conveniently place next to the honesty shop that is fairly well stocked with those essentials you always seem to run out of as well as fire wood and kindling. John came to introduce himself to us after we had a chance to settle in and was very helpful and accommodating. The most common approach direction will take you over a country lane for about a 1-1.5miles that suffers from a lot of subsidence and can be tricky for campers on their first approach, however, John was very helpful in providing alternative directions as well as local attractions to visit.
