Horse Farm Camping
Wonderful first camping experience!
We had an amazing first camping trip for my 3-year-old. Anna was a great host and the land was fun to explore.
Horse Farm Camping
Should’ve parked in public lot
Waste of money. Paid $35 just to be able to park our car next to a barn. When we arrived, we were greeted by someone other than the host who told us we could just park along the barn. Bad start, but ok - we’re flexible. We have a car with a tent on top so we don’t need much. Then, she showed us the bathroom which was inside the horse barn. It was tiny and dirty. We overlooked it seeing as we knew we could just brush our teeth with the water we had in our water bottles. Finally, the person showed us to the “shower”. We were told before booking that there would be a shower for us. We knew it would be a converted “shower” but weren’t told it was just a garden hose in a cement room. No shower head, no curtain (you’re exposed to the entire front entrance of the barn), floors wet/dirty from washing horses. We were traveling home out of our car, driving long hours each day. We don’t require much, but a shower would have been nice. We brought up concern for both the hose and the lack of curtain, to which the person was also unsure of how we’d be able to use it as a shower. Which is the main reason we had booked here, previously agreed upon with the host. We ended up just going to the nearest Planet Fitness to shower, use the bathroom, etc. Saw a review like this on listing but thought maybe it was just dramatic. It’s the truth. We’ve been using public campsites all week, this was worse. We would have even been ok with paying $15, but $35 could have gotten us a nice, clean campsite.

Horse Farm Camping
Exactly as described
Exactly as described. If you need a low key / no frills place to park in this area with access to a bathroom and power this is a good option. I personally wouldn’t want to tent camp here but in a camper with window covers to block out the barn lights it worked for us. Staff I encountered were friendly and my daughter enjoyed meeting some of the animals.
