Stowford Manor Farm Campsite

We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen.  The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months.

Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

With options for camping or for hire of the bell tents on site, there were plenty of choices for a stay at Haddon Copse.

With different options for camping on site, there were plenty of choices for a stay at Haddon Copse.

The retreat hut was a hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet corner of the campsite. With plenty of space and a comfy bed, this was a lovely spot to take in the apple orchard just outside.

There were options to stay in the large bell tents on the camp ground or to bring your own tent to set up in the open field. With each individual camp spot set up ready, each space had plenty of room and felt really peaceful.

Set in a really peaceful field there was plenty of space to set up our camping equipment and room to set up a grill for outdoor cooking on the ready built campfire.

The view out from the retreat hut was beautiful, lots of trees and light made for a really great place to read a book, sit quietly with a cup of tea or as a base to explore the surrounding countryside.

Ready pitched, our bell tent was set up ready for our stay.

The beauty of the great outdoors was all around us at Haddon Copse Farm.

Set slightly away from the main camping area, the retreat hut was a perfect little spot and felt really peaceful.
