We have two luxury cabins here at Stoneymollan® over Loch Lomond with exclusive use of either a wood fired hot tub or wood fired sauna with magnificent panoramic views over Loch Lomond and the surrounding areas.
The John Muir Way and The Three Lochs Way begin at the end of our tree-lined drive with open wild spaces and spectacular landscapes. You are very likely to see some of the wildlife we share our landscape with. Apart from common species such as Frogs and Toads, Field Voles, Foxes, Stoats (ermine in winter), Hedgehogs, a variety of Garden Birds, Buzzards, Grouse, Pheasants and the occasional adventurous Rabbit (there are too many stones in the ground for them to dig burrows), you may also see Red Squirrels, Roe Deer, Barn Owls, Ospreys (in summer), Tree Creepers, Woodpeckers, Ravens, Sparrow Hawks, Kestrels and common Lizards to name a few. There is also a pair of Golden Eagles nesting approximately 10 miles away.
The West End of Glasgow is only a 25min drive away. Balloch Train and Bus station are only a 15min walk away yet it feels a million miles from anywhere... best of both worlds.
Our cabins are located within the grounds of Upper Stoneymollan® Cottage which was originally the shepherds cottage for the Cameron Estate. It was built c1880.
We have a tree-lined driveway with guest parking outside the front of the main house and our pods/cabins are located in a private area at the rear of our property with which plenty of garden area as well as private access into the woods. We are also only a 15min walk to the shores of the south side of Loch Lomond.

The kitchenette is compact yet well-stocked with all the essential appliances with an electric hob, microwave and fridge being all you need to wine and dine.
To the rear of the pod is the snug double bed with fresh & crispy bedlinen, cosy blankets for indoor and outdoor use (extra ones in a wooden box in front of the bed), and under-bed storage for your clothing. Compact, yet sleek bathroom equipped with a toilet, basin and an electric shower.
The Pod is equipped with a Smart TV, a mini–Portable Bluetooth Speaker along with excellent Wi-Fi so you can stay connected.
LED lights inside and outside the pod including decking lights.
Outside of the pod, head out for a relaxing dip in the hot tub and soak up the stunning scenery before going back inside and climbing into cosy bed and watching your favourite series on Netflix.

Loch Lomond Sunset Pod lies just to the west of Croftamie Village and is only a couple of miles south of Drymen. The Sunset Pod is within a National Scenic Area and The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, Scotland’s first National Park. It is surrounded by rolling Stirlingshire countryside and hills and is approached via its long private, and gated, drive off a quiet country road.
When you reach the pod, on the left side of the front door there is a key safe box (details will be sent on your booking) for self-check-in, just put the code in to access the keys to the pod and enjoy your stay admiring amazing mountains views. And if you are lucky, a deer may pay you a surprising visit.
If you are a smoker, we kindly ask you to only smoke outside of the glamping pod within the gazebo area, where an ashtray is provided.

However, the lodges themselves are within driving distance of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, and Falkirk, enabling people to see many of the great sites of Scotland at their convenience.
