Each handcrafted lodge features a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, grill, induction hob, fridge/freezer, bean-to-cup coffee machine, cookware & utensils. You'll also enjoy a king-size Emma mattress, wood-burning stove, private bathroom, towels, dressing gowns, slippers and plenty of thoughtful touches to make your stay extra special.
Outside, unwind in your own private wood-fired hot tub, enjoy evenings around the fire pit, cook on the BBQ, or simply relax on the decking or hammock overlooking the canal. All fuel for the hot tub, fire pit and wood burner is provided.
Step onto peaceful canalside walks where nature is never far away. Keep an eye out for red kites, buzzards and kingfishers, and if you're lucky, you may even spot an otter swimming along the canal. Each lodge also has its own private fishing peg on a quiet turning point in the canal, meaning you'll rarely be disturbed by passing boats.
A selection of welcoming country pubs and restaurants are just a short drive away, while the attractive market towns of Rugby & Market Harborough can both be reached in around 20 minutes.

The Little Stable is situated in a meadow, which is part of a 63 acre arable field adjacent to Laundimer Woods and Fermyn Woods. The land has been farmed by my father and grandfather for the last 60 years going back to a time of horse drawn ploughs and open top tractors. The stable was built 25 years ago for a horse called Whisper and over the years it was left to deteriorate. I have been gradually restoring the building since 2019 and decided it would be ideal as a luxury tiny home. I have put my heart and soul into build a unique, comfortable and private space for people seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
On the doorstep are some fantastic walks and rides through the woods. They were one of the original re-release sites for Red Kites in the UK and the breeding programme has been incredibly successful. It's a hidden gem, off the beaten track and a great place to reconnect with nature and the countryside. We can give you a map of the many trails through the woodland and other places of interest. We would advise bringing a pair of wellies or sturdy walking boots.
A short car journey away you will find Deene House & Park (3 miles), Kirby Hall (4 miles), Rockingham Castle (4 miles), Boughton House (5 miles), Lyveden New Bield (6 miles) and the pretty and historic market town of Oundle (7 miles), A little further afield there is the beautiful town of Stamford and magnificent Burghley House (19 miles).

Had an amazing stay with Graham and Allison! They were such gracious hosts and have created a little slice of heven on their land. The lodge is so cute and well furnished, we wished for nothing. A perfect romantic destination. We will definitely be back to stay again!

We have stayed in the Pheasant Lodge in this beautiful location and it was exactly what we need it. The Lodge was home to home, super clean and well equipped with everything we need it. Graham and Alison are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. The jacuzzi was amazing, perfect place to relax while watching the beautiful sunset over the canal. Yelvertoft was not too far and we loved the delicious homemade sausages from Alex's deli for our grill. We wish we could stayed a bit longer, truly enjoyed our stay.

To all the savvy readers out there, do yourselves a favor and reserve a spot at this gem of a place. Graham & Allison are the ultimate hosts, and I can't stress enough how delightful our stay was. We're definitely planning a return trip and can't wait to reunite with Allison. The hot tub was a dream, I even managed to reel in some decent-sized fish! The lodge was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Top-notch comfort all around.
