Faversham once the busiest port in 17th century England for its wool trade has the longest complete medieval street in the country. A wealth of little shops, cafes and pubs as well as the country’s oldest family owned brewery Shepherd Neame. Whitstable sitting just along the coast, famed for its Oysters and Sunsets is a fun beachside community bustling in the summer months and hauntingly bleak in the winter ones. The World Heritage sites of Canterbury are just a fifteen minute trip away with all its well documented history and plentiful shops and eateries.

We had a wonderful time, the place is beautiful and quiet, away from roads and houses. Vans, campers and tents are well spaced from each other. Everybody very respectful. Facilities are great: shower and loos are immaculate, fire pits available to rent and wood to buy, pub in walking distance, and even home pizzas nights at the weekend. Location is great too, we will definitely be back!

Earth Camp was a great place to pitch a tent and relax for a lovely weekend outdoors. The facilities are solid and the pizzas on Saturdays are excellent value for money. Certain parts of the field are a bit sloped, so make sure to arrive early to get the best pick of the pitches!

Clean, well equipped, great showers and toilets, washing up station was always clean and lit up at night, hosts so friendly and helpful, little shop stocked lots of great stuff, big chest freezer for communal use - I can’t fault the place. And the location is wonderful - we spent time in Whitstable, Tankerton and St Andrews Lake.

My family and I spent a night here, we absolutely loved this site. Phil was great, really friendly and cheerful, and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. I met his wife as well who had a lovely chat with my kids and introduced them to the ducks and chickens. This is a great, family run campsite that is ideal for a quiet getaway. The facilities are clean and tidy, no issues at all. We stayed during a rain storm, fortunately we remained warm and dry in our campervan. Some of the other campers introduced themselves for a chat, the site definitely has a relaxed and chilled vibe that everyone embraces! The goats and pony were in their pen when we arrived, my kids absolutely loved them! The campsite itself is small but has great amenities, we would happily come back for another relaxing break!

We’ve camped a lot in the past but this was our first trip with our little fella, and safe to say it was a total success. The campsite was lovely with some stunning sunsets. It had a pub and play park 5 minutes walk away and the washing facilities on site were clean and well looked after. The campsite is within an easy drive to Whitstable, a brill little seaside town, where we spent a day and close to Faversham which was a nice market town. There was also a massive Aldi less then 10mins drive away to stock up on anything the on site shop didn’t have. The owners were very helpful and all in all it was the perfect little trip.

Fab friendly hardworking wardens & such a lovely campsite! We walked to Faversham, & when we returned later in the day we fired up the bbq & kept warm with the firepit, enjoyed the sunset & views of the cherry orchard. Toilets & showers were clean & water warm enough for me!. Appreciated the nearby field to walk dogs & the great pub within walking distance . Nothing not to like about Painters Farm, we would love to revisit!

Rosehip Wood Campsite is a nature rich, off-grid wild campsite set in a peaceful woodland. Camp in secluded clearings surrounded by trees and bushes and be sheltered from the wind or hot sun when necessary. You can spend your evenings staring into a crackling campfire as fire pits are provided and firewood can be purchased on site. This site is completely enclosed by fences so kids can roam free-range-style, make dens using branches and explore the 'secret cedar hideaway'. There is a field with a football goal for recreational activities and adjoining footpaths for road free walks. It is tucked away on the outskirts of the pretty Norfolk village of West Dereham. This beautiful rewilding project offers the unspoilt simplicity and tranquillity of wild camping within the grassy clearings of a quiet mixed woodland and balanced with just enough facilities to make camping fun and comfortable including fresh water and compost toilets. All Rosehip Wood’s pitches are family friendly and allow BBQs and campfires. Your hosts invite you to wander along mown paths, through grassy clearings and wildflowers. The woodland has been planted with lots of nuts and fruits for both wildlife and humans to enjoy. As the sun sets, unwind, and enjoy starlit skies unspoilt by light pollution against the distant calls and barks of local wildlife. The site has no lighting so don’t forget your torch if you plan on an evening amble. Downham Market is around 4 ½ miles away offering supermarkets, a market, food and drink in the town’s historic pubs and a range of restaurants. We are fortunate to be in a 'dark sky' area, perfect for long, relaxing summer nights around the campfie, sipping hot chocolate, toasting marshmallows and spotting shooting stars! During the summer our site is a popular spot for families and campers visiting nearby Camber Sands sandy beach and year round we welcome all different types of campervan, motorhome and caravan. We look forward to welcome you to our little slice of paradise. Please note our strict 'no group' policy - we only accept single families, single couple and single campers. No more than 2 adults in any group, even on separate pitches. Please bring your acoustic guitar or similar but, as this is a quiet site, please no radios, stereos or videos unless you're using headphones. The birdsong here is incredible by the way! Very wet weather and winter – please note in the off-season, and if very wet, the camping field is closed to vehicles, replaced instead by semi-hardstanding areas or our summer car-park area. Facilities are open but please be prepared for the vagaries of the weather, leaves, puddles and mud. To change pitch please let us know asap so that we can try if possible to find you another. Apart from the car-park, pitches can get very muddy in prolonged, heavy rain. If you are not prepared for these eventualities please do not book.

Faversham once the busiest port in 17th century England for its wool trade has the longest complete medieval street in the country. A wealth of little shops, cafes and pubs as well as the country’s oldest family owned brewery Shepherd Neame. Whitstable sitting just along the coast, famed for its Oysters and Sunsets is a fun beachside community bustling in the summer months and hauntingly bleak in the winter ones. The World Heritage sites of Canterbury are just a fifteen minute trip away with all its well documented history and plentiful shops and eateries.
