Wethersfield Eco Project Off grid

39 units · Motorhomes, Tents15 acres · Sudbury, Suffolk, East Anglia
Update we allow cars ad camper and this land has a special energy. Set in the valley with the hillside gives 360 degrees view of natural landscape. Wethersfield Eco Project is the historic parkland of Wethersfield Manor. Veteren Oaks and Sequoia Grace the woodland hillside with badgers and foxes in the sandy hills, buzzards and kites soaring the thermals and micro pigs grazing the wildflower meadow and wallowing in the ponds full of dragonfly and newts. Natural spring water issues from underground and was pumped by hand up the hill to the Manor House in victorian times by hand as their drinking water. More recently this high quality water was diverted into fish stock ponds and now is tapped as the finest fresh water for water ceremonies bathing therapy and herbal preparations. Great space for a family or romantic getaway or larger group party. If you are a group under 10 people please expect to share the space with others but we'll ensure you have your own private area! Bring your sound system and have your own party or event. Music must be lower after 11pm as houses are 500metres away. Price is 20 per adult 16 or over per night 11am to 11am checkout. Late checkout or day rate til 5pm is 10 per adult. Kids free. Dogs are 5 pounds. I have trouble pricing with hip camp as I can't get it to reflect my pricing structure. You can find us on Wethersfield eco project on social mediafb.

Hunstanton Camping & Glamping

14 units · Glamping, Motorhomes, Tents2 acres · King's Lynn, England
Hunstanton Camping and Glamping with mYminiBreak is located 2 minutes walk from the beach. Heacham is a large but quiet village just on the outskirts of the seaside town of Hunstanton. Providing a range of camping pitches for tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes; you could also indulge in a ready-made stay in a Glamping Bell Tent or Shepherds Hut for a Glamping break away on the Norfolk coast. When you stay at Hunstanton Camping and Glamping with mYminiBreak you are conveniently located to explore the beach and its surrounding areas. Between the venue and the beach, you will find the entrance to a public footpath that takes you to Snettisham, a smaller and history-rich village through scenic rural countryside. It is also possible to walk to Hunstanton in the opposite direction along the promenade whilst enjoying the sea air and open views. Our campsite is one of only a handful of campsites located on the west coast of Norfolk and just a 2-minute walk from the beach gives us a prime location for watching the sunset go down in all its spectacular deep orange and red glory. Couple this with having some drinks with friends and family by your campfire or BBQ makes for a wonderful memory to share with your loved ones. We are campfire and dog friendly, and welcome your four-legged friends to stay with you across our camping and glamping accommodation Local shops only 5 minutes down the road takes a load off your mind knowing that if you forget any supplies you don't have to go without, making your experience while camping in Hunstanton a relaxed and fun time. We are a rural former dairy farm by the beach, there are free-ranging chickens and cockerels and they may make farmyard sounds, if you are a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs :) GLAMPERS PLEASE NOTE The Glamping Kitchenette is suitable for making small quick meals with the use of a microwave, oven & stove for cooking and grilling and a toaster and kettle, there is also a fridge provided. Showers and toilets are shared with the campsite with the exception of gas powered outside showers that are solely for glampers. We are a VERY dog-friendly venue, we welcome dogs and muddy boots and host many hikers and explorers of the Norfolk Coast, although every care has been taken to ensure very clean accommodation, it is possible that a dog hair or 2 escapes our conscientious eye, please bear this in mind and let us know should you find anything you are not happy with, we will get our housekeeping team to deal with the issue swiftly! Please note that the Glamping Bell Tents and Glamping Shepherds Huts are for 2 adults only with the exception of 1 Adult and 1 Child with prior consent from us, they are not suitable for under 2's and do not come with facilities for children or babies. River, stream, or creek and dog-friendly campsites in East Anglia guide

Overview

From the coastal wilderness of the Norfolk Broads National Park to the university city of Cambridge—everywhere in the East of England is within day-trip distance of London. Those escaping the capital will find plenty of ways to get outdoors, from horseback riding in the forest to canoeing through wetlands, or leisurely bike rides around the countryside. Summer campers make a beeline for the beaches of Norfolk and Suffolk, while music fans can enjoy an unforgettable camping experience at the annual Latitude Festival. Wildlife-watching in the Norfolk Broads is best in spring and fall.

Where to go

Norfolk

Sandy shores, fish & chips, and brightly painted beach huts await along the Norfolk coast. Head to Great Yarmouth, Hunstanton, or Cromer for a British beach break, and admire the seals lounging on the beach at Blakeney Point. The Broads National Park is another must—explore miles of wetlands by bike, canoe, or boat, looking out for rare birds and wildlife along the way.

Cambridgeshire

With its history and picturesque parklands, Cambridge is a worthy headline act, but there’s more to Cambridgeshire than its university. Punting along the River Cam is the quintessential activity, perhaps combined with a walk or bike ride through the marshes. Campers have options too, whether you prefer a tranquil caravan park or glamping in yurts and tipis.

Suffolk

Lowland forest and heathlands stretch through the Suffolk countryside, affording ideal terrain for walking, cycling, and camping. Further east, Lowestoft and Southwold are Suffolk’s flagship resorts, but you’ll find sandy beaches and seaside camping all along the coast. Fans of horse racing should include a pitstop in Newmarket, home of the National Stud.

Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire

Just north of London, travellers come to Hertfordshire for the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio tour and stick around to play a game of golf, go horseback riding, or visit a country estate. To the north, Bedfordshire is home to the ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, Dunstable Downs, and  Woburn Safari Park, making it a great destination for family camping holidays. Choose a campsite near a train station and hop into the capital for a day trip.

Essex

Essex boasts plenty of natural assets. Head to Epping Forest for woodland walks and glamping in the heart of the forest, walk or cycle through Dedham Vale, or enjoy bird-watching in the Rainham Marshes. Along the coast, the seaside resorts of Southend-on-Sea and Clacton-on-Sea are buzzing with beachgoers in the summer months.

Top 10 Things to Do in East Anglia

  7. Recreate Constable’s most famous painting, The Haywain, in Dedham Vale.
