The small holding is home to free range chickens and other animals. Eggs are complimentary and we're more than happy to arrange for you to collect them yourself if you're in a 'hunter/gatherer' sort of mood as well as a loaf of bread, milk, butter and apple juice. Our rural location is truly fantastic! You'll instantly feel the stresses and strains of everyday life disappear as you soak up the delightful Kent countryside and adjacent ancient woodland. The picturesque Stour valley is just down the road, Canterbury and it's cathedral are only 10 mins away and Kent's extensive coastline can be reached in less than 20 mins. Some delightful pubs and restaurants can be found in Canterbury, and you are spoilt for choice when it comes to top quality country pubs in the local area. Cooking can be done on top of the wood burner inside the yurt or on the bbq with side burner ring in the bbq shelter. The grassed area outside of your private space operates as a very basic campsite and welcomes campers throughout the year. Numbers are kept to a minimum in order to maintain the peace and tranquility of the area. The A2 is just under half a mile from the property so a small amount of road noise may be heard if the wind is blowing from that direction.

The interior’s cosy too and on the luxury side, thanks to an antique French bed and chandelier. Of course, treats and things to eat may quickly be on your mind, and that’s no problem here, as Horncastle (10 minutes’ drive) is a local market town with a vibrant pub, village café, farm shops and supermarkets. The energy might come in handy for the Lincolnshire Wolds’ walking and cycling trails. The edge of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just over 300 metres away from the site, so you’ll be able to get there in no time (five minutes’ walk to be exact). There's often wildlife to be seen right on site too: while you relax you may spot wild rabbits, muntjac deer and pheasants, plus all sorts of birds flying overhead.
