A beautiful, peaceful campsite that feels a little like a family. Everyone was super friendly- both the owners and their longer term guests who enjoyed the communal areas. The area is interspersed with beautiful old mossy oak trees, diverse nature and chickens. A dip in the lake added to the place's healing charm. I also enjoyed buying some of their homemade/homegrown conserves. Merci Martin et Jana!

We loved the calm and quiet of the site. We were greeted by Marion and everyone was so kind. The plots were spacious, the atmosphere very calming. The children loved the lake, the paddle boards and the zip wire.

We had such a lovely stay, the facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean. Lovely, large pitches, we were also given the option of choosing our pitch. Such a beautiful location, perfect for paddle boarding. The girls loved playing in the park and ordering bakery goods for the following day. The hosts Laura and Quentin were lovely and went above and beyond to help us when we’d left something behind. Would highly recommend this campsite and would love to return. Thanks so much for such a memorable stay.

We did a two week roadtrip in the west of France where we stayed in 5 different camping places. This one was by far the most jaw dropping! We were welcomed warmly by Perrine and Thibault. We even got to choose our emplacement. The entire domain is just wonderful. Chickens, a horse and a donkey and a cute dog, a beautiful castle and amazingly organized by Perrine and Thibault. We just stayed for one night and wished we could stay longer. We are definitely recommending this hidden gem and will return!

The campsite owners Chris and Jen are amazing, they go out of their way to help people and make sure they have a great stay. They are a hardworking couple and made the campsite and gites beautiful with excellent and very clean facilities. The swimming pool is great with shaded options,the atmosphere is very relaxed.Jen and Chris are always at hand if anything is needed from quiche to coffee to croissants or ice cream, which is amazing,just ring the bell! Everything you could wish for is thought of, ie cards on a table if you want to play cards under cover with a view if it rains ( it never long does if it does), fishing rods if you wish to fish in their lake, matches if you wish to make a cuppa in their barn kitchen even washing up liquid and clean brushes are there and a washing machine. We’ve had a very comfortable stay and our car broke down whilst here so Chris drove us all the way to the airport in Limoges to pick up our daughter and stopped at a supermarket on the way back so we could get some food as there’s little to no public transport here, and taxis are extortionately priced. You do hear the road from time to time but that’s nothing, compared to the sheer hospitality on offer, there’s a beautiful and peaceful forest and lake and the tipi and lotus bell tent are beautiful, there’s even a little glamping kitchen in the woods! Thanks J&C, for looking after us so well we had a super comfortable stay and for helping us out big time, during a tricky time for us!

This campsite went straight to the top of the list of all the campsites, we have been to. We’re travelling with three kids and a big Nordisk tent, that takes up a lot of space, but this place has enough space for everyone!
The surroundings are beautiful with the old castle as the “service building,” the swimmingpool offers a refreshing swim for little ones and all others, the chickens, the horse, and the donkey give it all a farmer’s vibe, and the couple running it all, Perrine and Thibault along with their kids, are just extremely down to earth, welcoming, warm, and helpful folks.
We stayed for a week and already had our next stay planned, but otherwise we would’ve prolonged our stay. We’re definitely returning as soon as possible!

The site and view and facilities were very good indeed. We dined at the bar, only one choice but it was very good. Quiet and lovely. Only a few patrons and just marvellous.
Disappointed at how expensive the Hipcamp administration fee was. And this is justified by some million dollar indemnity allowance. No idea how that would apply!

A fabulous campsite - Hipcamp just seem to get it right with the sites they choose to promote!
It's run by a lovely young couple who are very friendly and welcoming. Pitches are very generously sized , with hedges in between them. You can choose your own pitch when you arrive - just have to call back to reception to say where you are. Bread and croissants can be ordered each day, for delivery at the site the following morning. There is a small cafe on site (booking recommended) where you can get lunch or dinner - we went for galettes / crepes & a bottle of local wine - all lovely and very reasonably priced. The site is located in the Marais Poitevin, the Green Venice of Vendée, and there is a place 5 minutes walk up the road where you can hire a rowing boat. We took a boat out for 2 hours (without a guide) - it was absolutely lovely & so serene and peaceful. The cost was 33 euros for 2 hours. You aren't allowed to stop, or get off the boat in that time, as the bank is very fragile. totally recommend doing it - was such a lovely afternoon. You can choose to have a guide / someone propelling the boat for you, but we preferred to do it for ourselves. A wonderful campsite that we really enjoyed, can wholeheartedly recommend, and would love to return to.

What an absolute gem of a campsite! After being packed in like sardines at a previous site on this trip, this site was such a welcome change. Linda and Richard are fabulous hosts, and made us feel welcome from the start. Their lovely little pup Margot is also very friendly and super cute! The site is rural, surrounded by beautiful countryside. There was only one other van staying when we were there, but even if they had been full, it is spacious enough for everyone to have more than enough room and privacy. There's a washing machine that is 5 euros a load, a sink for dishwashing, a toilet and a shower - all really well kept and clean. There's also a lovely swimming pool , which was very welcome to cool off in on a very hot day. Richard also went the extra mile & went out to rescue my partner in his car, when he got lost on a "quick" cycle to the local boulangerie. 100% recommend & would love to visit again.,
