Tllaalside Forest Glamping

28km from Naikoon Provincial Park · 3 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging · Tlell, BC
Bordering the pristine Tllaal river on Haida Gwaii, this 4-acres of forested property lies in the small community of Tllaal, on the east side of Graham Island, central to Haida Gwaii's communities. The property edge is steps away from the tidal zone of the river, which has coho salmon splashing about from mid-August to mid-October. We have two paddle boards available as an add-on. It is a beautiful experience to time a paddle with the tide down to the mouth of the river, have lunch at the Pesuta shipwreck, then paddle back up with the rising tide. The other end of the property has a trail to East Beach, where other humans are a rare sighting. The property has one 14x20 canvas wall-tent; with a cozy queen size bed, couch, wood stove, and kitchenette on the deck. There are several tent sites on the property. Amenities include an outhouse, hot outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen.

Overview

About

Embark on an adventure through the wild and scenic Naikoon Provincial Park, where the call of the wild beckons at every turn. Here, explorers can immerse themselves in a variety of activities, from beachcombing along the rugged coastline to hiking through lush rainforests. Whether you're a seasoned hiker looking to conquer the trails or a photographer eager to capture the park's natural beauty, Naikoon offers an unforgettable outdoor experience.

When to go

The best time to visit Naikoon Provincial Park is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is most favourable for outdoor activities. However, be mindful that this is also the peak season, so plan ahead. The off-season, particularly from November to March, can be challenging due to heavy rainfall and strong winds, making some areas less accessible.

  • Be aware of local wildlife and practice safe viewing distances.
