Visit Vashon Island and relax on a private estate property. Camp overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the secluded beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of peaceful waterfront. Vashon boasts great coffee hangouts, bakeries, galleries, wineries, restaurants (May's Thai, Lunetta Pizza, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant, Snapdragon and others). WALK THE FIELD BEFORE DRIVING ON IT TO BE SURE you won't sink if its been wet! Galleries, shops and restaurants in Vashon town; also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest. Outdoor fires are by permission only. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. Fires may be allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.)Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful! Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people. There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate. There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am. There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed. DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine. The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here! Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Looking forward to hosting you! Camp on Vashon Island overlooking Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier! Walk the forest trails or follow the trail down to our 1000' ft of southern exposure, private beach. Pt. Robinson Lighthouse or Maury Island Marine Park are walking distance away. Roast marshmallow over a beach fire, enjoy amazing sunsets, keep an eye out for humpbacks and Orca! Sea lions, otters and seals swim by. Fish jump and sea birds swoop over the water. Your group is the only group camping, and we have capacity for large groups. Vashon has fabulous restaurants (Earthen, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant, May's Thai, and more) wine tasting, breweries, galleries, arts performances, and lots of peace and quiet just an hour from Seattle and Tacoma. If you're a UFO buff, check out the Maury Island Incident, which happened right here! Take a look on-line at the Vashon Maury Chamber of Commerce, Vashon Center for the Arts, Vashon Parks District, and O-Space for current "things to do".

The address at the big house is 4205 SW Pt. Robinson Rd. Follow these directions as you map app will NOT get you to the correct location: Follow Directions to Point Robinson. At the bottom of Pt. Robinson Road there is a T intersection. Go RIGHT. The first driveway on your right has a silver farm gate - if it's closed, just open it. At the end of the long, straight, tree-lined driveway, go RIGHT into the big field near the pond. Continue across the field past the pond to the flat spot on the west side of the field. You can set up camp there near the trees, or on the bluff to just to the west (right) of the boulders. Please tuck in out of the line of sight to the big house above the pond. Use the trail next to the boulder for beach access. Technically the bulkhead area belongs to the people in the house, but if no one is there you can be there. If people come down, please go left (as you face the water) and relax anywhere you wish on the beach between the bulkhead and Pt. Robinson park. NO FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES and NO SMOKING IN THE FIELD AREA AT ANY TIME. Beach fires may be possible at certain times of the year, BY PERMISSION ONLY. You are responsible for any damages caused by fire you light. Beach fires out on the sand MAY be possible with permission ONLY! Fires must always BE EXTINGUISHED BEFORE LEAVING UNATTENDED. USE WATER AND BE SURE FIRE IS OUT COLD: NO STEAM, NO SMOKE or STEAM, NO COALS, NO HEAT. There are free range chickens, horses, and other animals, so keep your dog LEASHED at all times and pick up after them, please. Dogs can be free at the beach IF no one is around. Leash up if people approach until they pass. Please note that beach access is down the trail by the boulder. At the bottom of the trail, please take the rock stairs to the beach vs. staying up on the bulkhead, which is the domain of guests renting the cottages. Go to the left for 1000 ft. of waterfront for r & r. You're welcome to walk anywhere on the beach - all beaches are public. Enjoy your time on Vashon!

Tent camp or park your RV in a flat 3 acre field 3/10 of a mile from the town of Vashon. BYO everything, including a toilet. Water available from spigot. Leave no trace, please. Park your vehicle or RV on the gravel pad behind the farthest back fence. Tent camping is ok anywhere in the back field, but check with us about where you want to camp prior to parking. NO OUTDOOR FLAMES between June 1 and October 1. Get permission from the host prior to lighting ANY fire, and you are responsible for having a way to completely extinguish the fire prior to lighting one. You are responsible for any and all damages that may occur as a result of any fire you light.
