The property was great and the host was extremely accommodating. There were ancient cedars and a creek on the property. We saw a Barred Owl (that hung out next to our tent maybe 20 feet from us for hours on end) and a frog in the creek. They also had chickens roaming (very cute), some white geese, and an extremely friendly dog that hung out with us for hours as well. The outside with real plumbing was also a big plus. Overall, the place exceeded our expectations.

My stay at High Hopes Camp was beyond amazing! The location is absolutely perfect—close enough to town for convenience, yet it feels completely removed from all the stressors of the city. Janelle was an incredible host and such a pleasure to chat with. I noticed some reviews mention the dog—let me just say, he’s a total superstar and made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this camp spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay.

We had a fabulous time on Janelle’s beautiful property, where we camped in our tent for 2 nights. Janelle welcomed us and was extremely friendly, this being our first time camping in the area. We were very comfortable; there were even extra chairs and tables Janelle let us use for cooking and relaxing; as well as a full toilet and water setup. The area was peaceful and beautiful with some bird wildlife and a very friendly dog Flynn. Highly recommend staying here! Thank you Janelle.

Great campsite and close proximity to local hikes. Janelle and Flynn (dog) are both friendly and welcoming. Our camp site was bordered by trees which provided awesome shade when it was 80+ degrees. The campsite was equipped with a bench, table and fire ring (unused during fire ban). The common flush toilet and pump sink were welcomed luxuries. It was a full weekend with other campers but Janelle sited everyone thoughtfully so we felt total privacy. Would highly recommend!

We loved this site! Janelle was really welcoming and the farm atmosphere was lovely. We enjoyed having her dog around as well. Only wish we didn’t have to leave so early in the morning!

It was the best birthday weekend ever. Beautiful property near so many fun activities. Also got to hang out with Flynn who was a super awesome puppers lol beware he will scare the daylights out of you when he emerges from the creek and bushes lol. The owner Janelle was also very friendly and we had very nice conversations 😊. Will definitely be back!!

High Hopes Farm
High Hopes Farm is a great space and location. It is only a few miles from the Salt Creek Recreational Area, Crescent Beach and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. And it also has easy access (~6 mi) to Port Angeles restaurants and of course, Olympic National Park (Hurricane Ridge entrance). The farm allows a number of tent spaces which provides privacy, shade from trees and open fields. It also has an outdoor bathroom hut - not a portapotty, an actual toilet, which is nice to have, and easy portable water access. Janelle is friendly and helpful - at the same time, allows you your privacy.

Janelle’s land was the perfect location for the first night of a multi-night bike camping trip. She responded quickly to my reservation request. She and Flynn met me with a smile and tail wag. Both checked in with me after I selected my site (Flynn several times!). Toilet house and outdoor sink were well stocked and sun heated shower was a nice bonus.

We had a great time despite some inclement weather and a problem that arose from the septic system which, while a small nuisance, didn’t get in the way of us enjoying a quiet and fun stay. Our host resolved the problem and was able to provide an alternative and her communication was terrific! We also enjoyed the nearby town and outdoor hiking area!

We really enjoyed this relaxing, lovely and safe area to take a break and enjoy some outside time. Everything is great. Winnie loved playing with Flynn so much she didn't want to leave him. 😄❤️We would come back. Thank you for the stay, your hospitality is wonderful.

Janelle‘s land is beautiful! We camped in a grove of trees and it was so peaceful. Looking out over a field of wildflowers watching the sunset was a real treat. Our daughters loved putting their toes in the creek and playing with Flynn, Janelle’s well mannered, gentle pup.

Loved the big field and flexibility of space. Janelle lent us a firepit and a small table, brilliant! Bathroom is clean and adequate, the well water delicious. Camp dog Flynn spent time with us each day looking for ear scratches and food scraps. Lots to do in the area and the road noise is not very present. Love this spot! Very lush around end of May.

The location was great and Janelle gave us some great hiking and tidepooling advice. Flynn was a nice friendly addition that visited us regularly and never barked. The real bathroom and covered eating area was an added bonus. Would definately stay again.

We had a great time at Janelle's farm! Janelle was a phenomenal host, willing to be flexible with my scheduling and helping us out with firewood when we realized we hadn't brought enough. Although Janelle was fully booked, the site still felt very private and we had lots of space to spread out and explore without intruding on other campers. Flynn the camp dog was a great bonus, too! Got along great with our dogs, everyone had a great time.

Janelle’s farm is her pride and joy! The campsites are private and pretty. Water and toilets are appreciated too. We felt safe in our pop up camper. There’s a little road noise during the day but quiet at night. Janelle gave us directions to places of our interest. We enjoyed breakfast down the road at The Blackberry Cafe in Joyce.

We had a great stay at High Hopes! Our spot was on the creekside and we had plenty of space to move about and yet still feel like we had privacy. We explored the creek, used the open yard/meadow area for bocce ball, and appreciated the flush toilet in the well-appointed outhouse. We also loved that it was 6 miles to Salt Creek Recreation area. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for one night. The host was very accommodating and messaged us back promptly allowing us to stay the night with short notice. Beautiful property with lots of open space. Very nice/ clean bathroom and maintained grounds. Her pup was so friendly and greeted us each time we got there. He also played so well with our pups :) highly recommend!!

Janelle was so accommodating with our last minute request. She’s quick to respond and was both friendly and helpful when we arrived. Our doggos became instant friends and ran around the spacious, beautiful property. We loved parking our camper van on her farm and would definitely return!
