At HEARTHAVEN, a scenic, open meadow leads to an enchanting old growth forest. Make yourself at home and choose a comfortable campsite in the meadow or on the lawn. Enjoy hillside views, forest exploration, resident wildlife and the communal fire circle. Our blossoming permaculture homestead is a serene and welcoming place to breathe and rejuvenate. We are located in the foothills of Kulshan (known as Mount Baker), home to the wild and scenic North Fork Nooksack River. Bald Eagle sanctuaries, bike and hiking trails, and paragliding areas are all within easy reach of our land. Year-round recreation abounds from the Cascades to Salish Sea. Two lovely libraries are nearby, and Bellingham and the Canadian border are each within a 30-minute drive. In addition to tent sites and campervan spots, we have an RV/TIny House parking spot with 50-amp hookup. 20% weekly and 50% monthly discounts available. Dogsitting available while you explore the area... negotiate with my nine-year-old son on this! RVs park in a space between two structures (an open carport and a garage) with 11+ feet clearance between the eaves. Slide-outs can be accommodated depending on their location. We very much enjoyed our stay with Carmen and her son. They were very helpful and welcoming. The location is convenient to many hiking trails in the area. The campsite was as described on the website, clean and quiet.

This was my very first time driving and parking an RV, and I could not have picked a better place to stay! Carmen and her son were incredibly patient and helpful, guiding me through the parking process.l The campsite itself was peaceful, clean, and perfectly set up for a relaxing stay. I felt safe, supported, and completely at ease from the moment I arrived. I can’t recommend this spot enough—especially for first-time RV travelers looking for a warm, friendly welcome. We absolutely loved staying with Carmen! She and her son were amazing hosts, helping us bring our tents out to a shady area under the trees in their backyard. Our dog was treated with lots of love and got to run around in the field, and we ended up going to a backyard concert with them at the library. Carmen recommended a great spot to swim in the nearby river. The composting toilet was pristine and the sink with running water was much appreciated. We would certainly recommend to anyone in the area and are looking forward to coming back to stay again soon!

Great location about an hour to Mt Baker. I brought an RV-EV charger converter so we were all set for the mountain. Carmen and her son were fantastic! Would camp again.

Great spot! Beautiful, near the Mt Baker area, and has a brand new composting toilet and running water. Carmen was very welcoming and met us when we arrived.

Carmen is an amazing host! Her property is adjacent to the side of a mountain. We utilized a space next to her composting toilet and sink. It was so peaceful and beautiful. You cannot go wrong with a stay at her home.

Camping near Artist Point !

After hiking at Artist Point all day driving to my campsite at Carmens was a breeze and I was greeted upon my arrival. They showed me around and made me feel welcomed ! Which is very important to me as a solo traveler. The campsites were easily accessible and my site was nestled under some trees. The outside sink was useful and the toilet was clean. Will gladly come back to Carmens in the future !

I had a great time staying on Carmen's land! It was raining when we arrived, and Carmen graciously offered to let us pitch our tent under her carport so we could stay dry. She was very kind and made our stay more enjoyable by being so accommodating. Also, having access to a sink with running water and a very clean portable toilet was great. Just note when finding the property that google maps will take you too far down the road, so just look at the house numbers once on the correct road.

Great last minute find for us near Mt Baker. Nice and quiet place to stay. It has been newly built, so all the sites and facilities are still very fresh and very clean. Carmen was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout. Would highly recommend!

Is there any such thing as a perfect field? Though the question can't be answered definitively, this was a perfect field for me. Beautiful, quiet, safe, complete with a few tenderly cared for new tree seedlings. The outhouse was impeccably clean; easy access to a fun outdoor sink. And while not every camper may get this (it's not in the contract), this old girl even got help getting packed up in the morning. This place will always hold a warm spot in my heart. Thank you!
