My husband and I camped here for the weekend and loved it. The site felt private but not too far from the main house should an emergency arise. We walked the property down to the Colorado river and it was a beautiful little hike. The site is close enough to Austin that we spent sometime exploring the city as well. Giovanny was an excellent host! Oh ALSO we were blessed to have a sweet orange cat hang with us in the evenings, we called him Chico and was a pleasant surprise additional guest. Will definitely stay again!

The one half decent picture and written description couldn’t have been more false. The place is more like a junkyard with empty and abandoned trailers and storage containers. There are several friends and “tenants” living dispersed on the property who weren’t mentioned, and loose cats (a problem if you bring dogs like we did) that will chase you as you walk towards the shared bathroom on the back side of the house. The bathroom was not clean and is probably the creepiest walk to get there in the night around old travel trailers and through the back fence. All that being said, safety was my biggest concern and cause for us not staying for our reservation. I was told that there are SQUATTERS around the property, but should mostly be cleared out by now and aren’t much of problem if we thought about hiking the advertised route to the river. And when I asked about whether or not leaving my camp trailer and tent setup was safe, I was told “it should be.” I tried to reach out to the owner for a refund and I’ve been ignored.

Very helpful, flexible with the reservation, I arrived at night, it was a bit difficult for me to map the actual driveway, ( apple maps took me to the neighboring business driveway), worth the long drive into entry gate area passing the neighborhood houses, friendly neighbors, and the night time security staff ( sweetest curious cat and armadillo) were great too. Great view of the moon. Much gratitude for sharing your safe space. The bugs and coyotes sing a good tune for bedtime. Bringing bug spray in tx is a must have.

Giovanny offers his private land for safe camping 🏕️ He is attentive, friendly, and kind. I completely felt safe. Also, offered a bathroom 🚽 with shower 🚿 to hippie camping. An off road vehicle is not necessary but recommended to make it to his camp. The best part is the camp is located near a bbq place for dinner and the sign bar for drinks.
