We are fortunate to call this ecologically diverse and extremely private piece of land home, and we are excited to welcome you here to explore the magic for yourself. Our 50 acre parcel would have comprised much of the maple bush for the original 400 acre farm property. The stone fence rows and laneways lined with large boulders are remnants from the days or horse drawn carriages, likely put in place hundreds of years ago. In addition to the maple bush there are several acres of cedar bush, open wild flower meadows, as well as fields dotted with larger shade-giving trees. A small half acre of the property is used to farm fresh cut flowers which you are welcome to visit. We also have a kitchen garden, 10 egg-laying hens, 2 very friendly outdoor cats, and our black lab Abby who will likely greet you with a bark (she is very friendly). In the summer months you can enjoy a handful of lakes for swimming and boating all within 10-15 minutes of our property. We are happy to share details and locations. We are conveniently located just off of Highway 10, ten minutes north of Markdale and 25 minutes south of Owen Sound. If you are headed north to Tobermory, we are a perfect mid way point if coming from Toronto, with Tobermory just an hour and a half north of us.

Wake up to the smell of fresh country air, wildlife bustling, and wild flowers swaying in the breeze. Our tiny cabin is an ideal place to rest, retreat, and immerse yourself in nature, or use it as a base to explore the many natural attractions across Grey and Bruce county. The cabin is connected with electricity. Water is provided however there is no running water. The cabin is not heated nor insulated. Space heaters are available. Please note that the bed is located on a loft which a ladder must be climbed in order to access. When you stay with us you are welcome to explore the natural diversity of our 50 acre farm, and visit our gardens and with our animals. Here, we grow cut flowers commercially, following organic and regenerative practices. Let us know if you are interested in a garden tour or to pick your own bouquet of flowers.

Great night camping on Gillian's property. Setting was lovely and quiet and perfect for our one night stay! Definitely recommend.

It was such a fun experience for my family. Beautiful area and it was very clean. Gillian was very kind and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Camping Went Wrong

Site 1 - Wildflower Meadows
We didn't stay at Wildflower Meadows as the host, Gillian, wasn't there to receive us. She even didn't respond to our calls and messages. There was even no other campers around that we can feel safe as the host said they would be there. She responded to messages one day later. We asked for the refund but it seems that she doesn't want to do that. I'm hoping Hipcamp will help us get the refund.

Wildflower Meadows
Gillian's land is beautiful! A very peaceful area that's also close to the Bruce peninsula, several waterfalls and Owen Sound. Hosts were very gracious and accommodating. Property has lots of area to explore and we enjoyed it greatly. One tip though is to bring bug spray with you as there are some bugs but we didn't get bit up.

Wildflower Meadows
Great spot in Holland Center to camp. Cute little farm and the camping spot has good privacy and lots of room to set up tents. Good fire pit and easily accessible to Owen Sound and Gerogian Bay. Would go back again. Hosts were also very friendly and very responsive before and during our stay.
