Only twenty minutes from Halifax and half way to Peggy’s Cove, this campground is the perfect spot for a quiet, family friendly experience. Convenient parking on the road next to the entrance and then it’s only a minutes walk to the forest clearing. Plenty of room to pitch up to three large or small tents, plus a covered picnic table. Also features a composting outhouse! Available camp fire and wood when fires are permitted. A gas BBQ is available for a small extra fee of $6.00 or a tabletop grill is supplied, just bring your own green propane bottles :)This site is only twenty minutes from Halifax and thirty to Peggy’s Cove. Easy and quick access from the road , that has ample parking space. Please park on the road opposite the uncleared lot Entrance is marked with orange tape and lights at night. Features a large cleared area for large or small tents. Enjoy the covered picnic table and available fire place, when fires are allowed by the Province. Dry firewood is available in the supply area. A gas bbq is also available for a small, extra charge. Also has an outhouse! Paper, sawdust and sanitizer provided:). Just add one to three scoops after use. Power is available, but no running water on site. Garbage and recycling can be left in the supply tent. You can buy ice at the corner store opposite the playground at bottom of Pinedale Street. It’s also a liquor store. Please remember to observe reduced noise levels after 10pm. This site is in a neighborhood and although in the forest, noise does travel. This is not a place to party or play loud music. If you do so, you will be asked to leave. Thanks!

We loved our stay there! We really enjoyed all the details that Jonah left accessible for us like the fire pit, the table and chairs and the little outdoor toilet. Thank you a lot!

Wow! What a great campsite we loved how easily accessible the site was, super easy to unload the car. The bathroom was in great condition and even included board games pots and pans toilet paper and even a guitar. There was lots of seating available. John was such a great host very helpful and answered any questions extremely quickly.

The spot was easy to find, well marked. It is in a nice, quiet residential area.. but as soon as you walk through the enchanting little path.. you are brought to a forest oasis. My husband Glenn and I spent two nights and we loved it! The lights are great, as you are able to really enjoy the area as night falls. We got to meet both John and Carol.. John was great to lend us a hatchet as there is lots of firewood provided to have a nice relaxing fire. Carol brought us some seeds and peanuts for the cute chickadees and the blue jays that visited us. If you are looking for a private, relaxing, rustic (in the best way) get away.. this is the spot :) We were able to drive 10 minutes and get whatever we needed, but also felt so tucked away and enchanting. The bathroom facilities are great, clean, and well stocked, well lit for night time too. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a lovely mid week retreat!! The signal was also strong enough that I could hotspot my laptop to get a bit of work done. It’s a great spot with a lot of care put into it! Hopefully the next time we book the weather will also be great!

Loved that it was tucked away and private. We really enjoyed the lights, it made playing cards easier in the evening. The host is very responsive and checks in to make sure everything is good. Will definitely look at coming back again in the future.

We loved camping in this gorgeous little campsite. It was a bit difficult finding the entrance but it’s truly enchanting. With a little canopy, guided lights at night and firewood provided. Fully recommend!

Loved my mini tent camping adventure. Was really close to the city, but far enough away to get into the woods. It was really nice to have a rustic location all by yourself. "Supply tent" had dry wood, board games, and other essentials. I forgot a pot to boil water and borrowed one from there. John was great with communication on where to park and if we needed anything. There are very few places like this around. If you stay here, please don't ruin it for everyone else and leave a mess or break anything. I plan to take my family back here again!

Great weekend! Extremely well setup and thought through with a supply tent with anything you might have forgot or need. Lighting around the site is amazing. Great location, close to stores and activities.
