Exactly what we needed for a weekend away. The privacy was amazing. Yet still close enough to run up to the store if you need anything. This will be on our return trip list.

Awesome Hipcamp. Totally private and quiet. Add a really nice aluminum deck with picnic table, two comfortable chairs with a table, a firepit, and the world's cleanest outhouse, and you've got a perfect little hideaway. Yes, the short gravel two track leading to it is a little steep, but if my 2wd van can do it, pretty much anything can... it's all about a running start. Fabulous place.

We loved camping at Heriloom Acres.
Lots of space to spread out 3 tents and room for kids to play and relax.
Fire pit was great and the lights were cute.
Super clean out house with a great view!!
Close to everything yet felt nice being isolated too.
Definitely would love to return

We loved the privacy and quiet. Nice infrastructure in place making it a comfortable stay. Because it’s on a hill there was a nice breeze and not buggy at all. The only thing I found myself wanting was to create a bit of a view.

Car camped here for a couple nights and it was great. Felt nice and private was exactly as pictured and described. Was great having a toilet. Beautiful, peaceful, private. Super easy and clear on how to access. I would recommend this site for sure.

I loved this place! I took my family there for Father's Day weekend and it's just you and the wilderness. There are small town stores nearby and there is a public lake only a mile away. For people that like to really camp I really recommend this place. And they have an Old fashioned outhouse which was super clean and the kids thought it was so cool

This site was clean and spacious. Directions were very accurate. Host was excellent. Nearby Pine River kayaking is a great reason to stay here.

Quiet and very private couldn't ask for more, outhouse was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed walking around the tall grass field and edges of the woods. Wish this site was available in the late fall until it isn't accessible from snow.

Directions were clear, area was nice and private. There is a picnic table on a platform, a prep area table, a fire ring pit, and the nicest out house I've ever seen. We had a great weekend, and would definitely recommend to campers looking for a private getaway.

If you're looking for peace and quiet for your next camping trip, you've found the right place! My guests and dogs enjoyed having this plot all to ourselves. We appreciated all the amenities including a picnic table on a metal platform, in-ground fire pit, wooden table (we used for cooking and preparation), and the nicest outhouse. Directions were easy and clear, but beware of the steep driveway. We would definitely return!

We had a beautiful time! Site was very clean, quiet and rustic. Setup our tent and explored some trails nearby. Listened to the whip-poor-wills at night by the fire. Definitely a place where you can stay to relax all day or feel comfortable setting up and heading out to sight see. We found plenty of side road firewood for sale. We recommend Sara's Falls trail if you're looking for an easy hike and the suspension bridge walk nearby is beautiful. So thankful for our stay, would visit again!

I loved tent camping in this little spot. It was secluded, clean and cozy. It was a perfect location to see the stars and not too far for a day trip to Traverse City. The hosts were super nice and responsive and gave solid directions that made the site easy to find. I will definitely be booking again in the future!

For us this was a "local" weekend camping trip, less than an hour's drive away, but it still felt like a far-off adventure! A very quiet, cozy spot with a nice fire ring and picnic table. Our dogs enjoyed the calm, and it was a quick trip to the awesome Meauwataka General Store, and zipping into Cadillac for some thrifting and lunch at Clam Lake Beer Company. Our 18 foot camper maneuvered just fine on the driveway and rounding the curve into this site!

This was a spontaneous little trip. We live in Traverse City so site was only 41 min away. Site was clean, secluded, private and QUIET. The driveway is steep as described in the listing but the turn at the top is not as harrowing as alot of reviews suggest. We have an 18ft travel trailer and had no trouble at all making the turn. 4 wheel drive is recommended to get up the drive and definitely approach it from the West as the host recommends. Close to Cadillac and hiking trails and the paved pathway if you prefer easier walks/bike rides. The site set up was ideal with a raised picnic area with solar lights that create a peaceful glow at sunset and a firepit with chairs provided. We would definitely camp here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A beautiful piece of property, perfect for a secluded camping weekend with complete privacy. Our pup also loved the space to run and not have to worry about encountering anyone else! The solar lights are a very nice feature, and the area is dark enough that the stars were very visible. Would love to come back and camp here again!

A fantastic spot for our weekend getaway with our dog. As other mentioned, the outhouse is in great condition and clean. It was helpful to have the picnic tables and chairs there to use. Very private and rustic but not too far from things!

Loved the deck. Forecast called for a lot of rain. So we moved the picnic table and set our tents on the deck and covered it with a couple of pop up canopies. we stayed nice and dry. outhouse was great and the LED lights were nice. Drive was a little steep and when it was wet I almost needed to needed to put the truck into four wheel.

Wonderful spacious and private campsite an hour outside of Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and close to Cadillac lake! My family had a wonderful time. There was plenty of space and the pit toilet was clean. There is road noise as others have said, but the privacy more than makes up for it. Would definitely recommend

There are many places to camp in the Sleeping Bear area, but if you really want a quiet, out-of-the-way spot all to yourself (except maybe a few wild turkeys), then this spot is a good bet. Easy access, first rate outhouse and camp furnishings, and overall just a very peaceful and easy place. Good hammock hang is possible.

Just what we wanted and needed !!

If you want seclusion and quiet this is the place. But.. when the host says trailers under 20 feet, stick with that. Not that we did not make it with our 21 ft , but we had to a bit careful with low hanging branches. The driveway up the hill is steep, like the host says and pictures. So if hauling a trailer, gun it !!! Also, you must approach from the west with a trailer. Which is not a big deal and a very beautiful drive. Forests and corn fields.
Once we did get situated parking the trailer and got acclimated to our surroundings, we really did love it. We wanted to get out of our neighborhood for as much of the Holiday week, to escape the war zone noise, and this place did not disappoint.
Like someone else said, the vault outhouse was really amazing !!! The platform with the huge picnic table on it also turned out to be something we really enjoyed. Most of all, were the two chairs and small table around the campfire. There is also a storage table to use if needed. We found plenty of wood everywhere. We have fires morning and night. The view looking out over the fires is very beautiful and serene. There is tall grass everywhere to meander through, just make sure you bring very good tick and mosquito repellent. Although skeeters were not much of a problem with the fire going.
Not good reception for cell phones but our friends say that is so for miles around. Have to take a walk up the hill to get some.
Host was very informative ,pleasant and kind.
