Fun place- great staff, cool camp store with bakery. Kids loved it- had adventures with skunk that worked out ok. Could have been a bad one! Will definitely come back- Shelter cove is awesome.

The facility was awesome and well kept. It is close to the beach but still set off the beaten path in a quiet nature filled setting. Sarah was helpful and kind. I would recommend this campground to anyone.

We had an amazing time! The ocean was out front yard and the host my kids named “Big Dawg” was phenomenal, very helpful and attentive to all the campers there 💛 The man doesn’t miss a beat!!!!! Rather it’s showing up for you, or keeping the camp safe and quiet after hours. He even ran a skunk off for us 😂🙏Definitely will be returning!!! 10/10

This is a great campground. WiFi, showers, restaurant Nextdoor, cafe on site. All sites have their advantages, so look and the map and go for it. 100 recommend the campground. A very short walks gets you to a couple beaches and a lighthouse.

Loved everything about the campsite - clean bathrooms, great location with access to stunning beaches (black sand and cove), weather even in summer was amazing, very responsive and helpful staff at the checkin/general store. My only qualms were - the sites were too close to eachother (wish it was more dispersed for more privacy) and we did not find a sink to wash our vessels (not sure if we missed it but asked a few fellow campers and none of us knew).

Group of seven campers on a three night stay at the campground. It was excellent! The campground is well kept, bathrooms were always clean, the store is well stocked with essentials, and the views are unmatched! The staff was very helpful throughout the trip. Our only complaint is that the wood we purchased at the campsite was not seasoned and we spent nearly all of the wood getting enough heat to dry out the largest piece allowing us to get a flame that wouldn’t go out. We used an air pump nonstop for an hour as a bellow. So our first night’s was delayed by about an hour; luckily another car brought the wood we needed for the rest of the trip. We will absolutely be back though.

Had a great two-night stay at Shelter Cove RV Campground. It’s challenging to get to because of the steep grades and switchbacks, but once we were on site everything was great! The Host came out to meet us and loaned us a lighter to light the firewood we had requested. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and genuinely seemed to want to help make our stay comfortable. Bathrooms were clean, water pressure and hot water were good. Power, water and sewer worked as advertised and Wi-Fi was good, which was great as I had no cell service to speak of. Overall, a really enjoyable experience, despite the somewhat harrowing drive in (in a rented camper van!)

This was an amazing location and a perfect home base for folks looking to explore this small remote fishing village or the Lost coast wilderness. Note that the drive to and from is HEADS UP. very steep and windy descent with lots of exposure down into the town. we would not recommend it for a large RV or trailer.

Rare to find a small town with things to do. A quiet fishing place with kind locals along a wild coast. The camp hosts went above and beyond and the view is epic. You also sleep right next to an airplane runway.💯
