Beautiful spot! Very close to the water, beautiful trails, and very peaceful. Drank my tea and watched birds and deer hang around me. Camped here in the fall, will for sure be back in the summer.

Lovely place in an amazing location! The walking trails straight from the campsite are beautiful. The boat launch nearby is a nice place to sit and reflect as well. Great communication from the host.

For the second time this year an amazing stay at the Hideaway, made even better by host Gordon who kindly left a propane fire pit for us to use during the fire ban, lots of wildlife to be seen and the vintage trucks and farm equipment are a great touch on the walking trails, and to top it off a private fishing spot with picturesque views at the rocky lockout trail, we will be back next year.

Great little hideaway by the beach!

It’s a great site with tree cover that provides more privacy but a very short distance to the beach. Gordon was very quick with replies and very accommodating! The extras of firewood delivered to the campsite is a great feature as well. We had a fantastic time, there are also trails around the site as well to walk in nature. An amazing little hideaway ❤️ will definitely stay again.

Loved how much space there was so I could pick the perfect place for my tent and the seclusion from the other two sites. The only negative was I arrived on a Sunday and there were quite a few people, who parked in the parking area, that were just using the beach and they came in and used the porta potty which ment it was extremely full for the first day. It was emptied after that but I had read other reviews so I was prepared and had brought my own. I would definitely go back.

I loved the camping tent on the Gordon’s land. His hospitality was such a nice. The campground is incredible, charming landscape nearest to the lake. We for sure swing by again. Thanks Gordon 🙏🏼♥️

My family had a great stay at site 2! Large, private camping spot and walking distance to the lake. We enjoyed hiking through the trails & appreciated how well maintained the area was. We will definitely be returning, it was a much needed recharge in nature 😊.

My husband and our two dogs had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful campsite, and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. The host was absolutely fantastic!! Great communication and very friendly throughout our stay. We appreciated the recommendation and opportunity to explore the trails which were stunning!! It made our trip even more memorable! The area itself is breathtaking, peaceful, relaxing, and surrounded by natural beauty. The campsite was well-maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable and serene stay. Whether you're looking for adventure or simply a quiet place to unwind, this spot offers the best of both worlds. Highly recommend this host and their campsite if you're looking for a getaway in nature. Truly a wonderful experience!

We loved our stay at Gordon’s property! The sites were beautiful and private, and the beach was only a 5 minute walk. Gordon was a great host. He was friendly, helpful, and very prompt to reply to messages. Would definitely stay here again!

Gordon was an amazing host! He went out of his way to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of throughout our stay. His kindness and attention to detail really stood out. We had an amazing time there! Gordon was extremely helpful and friendly. If we had any questions Gordon was quick to respond. We haven’t been camping in over 10 years and Gordon made the experience better than we could ever imagine. Even our teenage kids enjoyed it and they were off their phones for 80% of the time there. Big win in my book. Definitely would recommend!

Everyone enjoyed pitching tents, chopping wood, and having a BBQ. The campsite was about a 12-minute drive from Sylvan Lake, where we spent Saturday go-karting, strolling along the shore, and indulging in a food trip."

10/10 recommend. The site and the surrounding land were beautiful. I even saw a bald eagle at Eagles Landing... Who knew? There was wildlife, plantlife, and mushrooms everywhere. My dogs also 10/10 recommend.

It was a nice campsite, private and quiet with good access to the lake. The only complaint would be that the porta-potty was disgusting and absolutely overflowing. Otherwise nice relaxing getaway.

Nice site - bring your own toilet

We had a nice visit to Aspen Grove. The beach was less than a 5 min walk, and we usually had it to ourselves. The walk into Site 3 (where we stayed) was a lot shorter than anticipated, we could actually still see the parking lot. There was a ton of cute paths to explore and fun things to do in the area. We did camp with young kids, so it was really nice to let them run around and explore without the extra traffic of a provincial campground. However, there was only 1 porto-potty style outhouse for the entire campground. When we arrived it was already quite full, and then add in the mix of a 15 adults who were drinking and had visitors… It was not a pretty sight. Our friend actually had to take a stick and push down some of the “overage.” I’m glad I had my daughter’s portable toilet with us because there was no chance I’d let her use that outhouse. I’m sure if the sight was monitored a little more over the weekend, it would have been a perfect place to stay. But when one large group comes with 5 vehicles (I thought it was a 2 car max) it was a little frustrating. Especially when they were up til the wee hours of the night and we have little ears listening to it all. Anyways, those small things didn’t wreck our trip. It was a really nice little get away and I’m so grateful we were able to check this place out. I would definitely come back here if the outhouse situation was improved or if the 6 adults/2 car max rule was properly enforced.

Gordon’s place is great! Unfortunately it rained the entire time for us so we didn’t get a chance to explore the trails or see the lake. The sites are well kept and very private when compared to provincial parks. We are very grateful to people like Gordon that are willing to share their property with others. Thanks for the great stay! And if you’ll have us, we will be back :)

Great tent location! We’re big on privacy while camping, and with only 3 sites it cuts down the noise and disturbances significantly compared to other camping spots (especially when no one was checked in to the others) Host was wonderfully communicative as expected from previous reviews. We didn’t get to enjoy much of the trails/water since it wasn’t the nicest weather so we will definitely be back!

We had a great time here and camped at site 3, the forest was beautiful and it’s only a few minutes walk from the lake which is incredible. Gordon is a great host and had firewood there for us when we arrived which was so convenient.

We recently camped at Aspen Grove Campground and had a fantastic time! The highlight of our trip was how close the campground was to the water, making it perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing. The easy access allowed us to enjoy the lake whenever we wanted. Gordon was an absolutely amazing host, and we can't wait to visit again!
