Runner Up Best in VA 2023 / 3rd Place Best of VA 2022. Passage Trout stocking April 5. Pastimes on Passage Creek Ranch is conveniently located at the north end of Fort Valley, VA. The property consists of 40 acres of low-land pasture, perfect for groups large or small. The Lakeside Mountain Stream site gives you the option to camp on our 5-acre lake, or camp in Creekside Cedar sites in shade along the banks of Passage Creek, just a very short walk to the lake. The property has 1/2mi of Passage Creek running adjacent to the campsites, as well as, the lake to enjoy. The Creekside Cedar sites are located within a sparse, groomed, Cedar grove along the banks of Passage Creek. These sites are extra large and can accommodate multiple family groups. This Lakeside Mountain Stream site is very secluded, overlooking our 5-acre lake and mountain views in the background. This site also has its own dock and is just a short walk to Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream cascades behind the site and feeds the lake. Locally, the North end of Fort Valley offers many great hiking trails, trout fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, and the Elizabeth Furnace day-use park. Taskers Gap OHV/ATV park is a short drive south, and the valley is sandwiched between both forks of the Shenandoah River for those looking to paddle. Additionally, the local towns (Front Royal, Strasburg, Woodstock) offer their own charm and wide range of activities and attractions.

Lakeside Mountain Stream
It was the perfect to spot for me and my friends. Everything is literally provided for you. The portajohns were probably the one of the most clean ones I’ve been to. The phone service was a little spotty and as long as you follow the directions given by Eric, you’ll get to your spot no problem. 10 out 10 would come back again!!

Lakeside Mountain Stream
Perfect camping spot
Not to be cliche. But our trip was PERFECT. We booked the lakeside spot and absolutely was in heaven. The lake itself is stellar but there are such hidden gems around the property. Super private, high quality wood, and just overall amazing spot. Will be back with my kids and all my Other friends!

Spectacular View
This was our second trip and it was just as spectacular as the first time we visited. The camp sites are huge and spread out. The lake and all the equipment he has for use is amazing! The fishing in the lake and Passage Creek is always great. We plan on making another trip for the fall to see the beautiful mountains with the change of leaves. Hands down one of our favorite Hip Camp locations!!

Cedar Grove 2
This is one of my favorite sites I have stayed at! It was not crowded and the sites were big. There were short trails through the property and more difficult trails right down the road. The site itself was absolutely beautiful, with a lake in front of a Mountain View. We even got to experience what Eric calls “frogathon,” where we were serenaded my toads, who have a surprising lovely call. I highly recommend this site!!

Amazing place
This place was magical. Everything for a great weekend getaway. Porter potties were clean and water was perfect. Hosts are very friendly and came to check on us when we arrived. I already booked it again for the summer.
