Welcome to Kohler Farms-A Shire Horse Breeder. We own a 35 acre secluded piece of heaven. Down past our home, next to the creek, we have a Grassy Knoll tucked away. We mow the area so the grass is always soft and ready. It is perfect for camping. You will feel like you are deep in the woods but you are 15 minutes from downtown Winston-Salem and 20 minutes from Hanging Rock State Park. The parking spot is gravel so you do not have to worry about dragging mud into your vehicle. We are pet friendly (but if your pet does not play well with my dogs, cat, or horses, please leave them at home). Our Shire horses are endangered and very BIG! I hope you have time to say hello to the horses during your visit. We have plenty of firewood and a garbage can right there for your convenience. The fire pit will be stocked with plenty of kindling and there is a wagon filled with extra kindling to help start your fire quick. We also have plenty of chairs to relax by the fire (currently we provide 6 Adirondack chairs). So, come and relax, take a soak in the creek, enjoy the horses, hike Hanging Rock, and enjoy the solitude that is Kohler Farms. See you in the Grassy Knoll!
