On beautiful Caddo Lake, the largest cypress forest in the world, we offer primitive camping on the water front. A shady spot for a few campsites and looking to expand in the future. We offer 60 acres with areas to walk and explore the lake bank and the surrounding woods. Share the campsite and surrounding area, with abundant wild life on land and water. Birds, deer, possums, raccoons, armadillos and wild hogs, just to name a few. Many fresh water fish species with cranes, herons, pelicans and ducks on the water. Come spend a relaxing weekend on Caddo Lake. We are located approximately 30 miles from Shreveport Louisiana and Jefferson Texas.Pitch your tent on Caddo Lake. The beautiful area was once home to the Caddo Indians and the site of the worlds first over water oil well. You may build a fire and view the stars at night, fish, explore, enjoy the picturesque view and relax during the day. No hunting is allowed on this property.

Hart’s Corner Camping

Quick Easter weekend getaway

We boon-docked on Hart’s land. It was only an hour from Shreveport and easy to find. We brought our pedal kayaks and were able to paddle in between all the beautiful cypress trees. Enjoyed all the wildlife, including a mating Osprey couple building their nest out on the lake, as well. If you book, be sure to ask for the peninsula!

Hart’s Corner Camping

Beautiful tent camping by the lake! Great views. Welcome to oil city, everywhere you look is a drilling machine, but they provide a great background noise and are interesting to look at. Area is semi-secluded - no other campers. No amenties at location, at least at this time, so be prepared.
