Eclipse Viewing party
Would camp again, awesome host
Kerry was super proactive and accommodating, especially with a lot of campers around for the eclipse viewing. He helped me find a spot with other friendly campers and checked in throughout the weekend. Overall, an awesome stay, just make sure to bring a table to cook on since the picnic tables aren’t at each site.

Eclipse Viewing party
Peaceful, wild, and free land
Our site had a field on one side and forest and dry creek on the other. Animals wandered around through our site, but never disrupted us or our things. Fire pit at every site. Outhouses. Trails. Dishwashing station, water spickets around. Very clean and peaceful. Surprisingly, the early morning and daytime hours were quiet—with the eclipse party, the evening was louder, but not disruptively loud! Lots of kids roaming free, but they did not disturb us. Beware of a neighboring dog at the entrance who bit and scratched our bumper and scratched up our vehicle’s door and paint with its teeth!

Camping Cabin
Overall our stay was really good. It had been raining non stop so we were unable to venture too far from the cabin but when we did, we seen some awesome things and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Cabin was clean. The dogs were the best part; the sweetest dogs live there and we loved that they came and spent time with us.
Things I would recommend- bring lanterns, flashlights/ something to help you see your way back to your cabin from the fire pit or outhouse. There is no lights to get up the steps or thru the wooded area from the Firepit to cabin.
Bring a foldable table or something to put your food/ belongings on. There is no picnic tables or stumps around fire pit or outside. Inside there is one little square night stand , no place to put anything that you don’t want on the floor.
The day we left. I slipped and fell down 5 steps . It was raining and the steps have mossy slick coat to it. There is no nonslip strips or anything on the steps or deck to give you traction. When we arrived the host told us to “be careful it’s slick” . I hope that he corrects the problem instead of “knowing” and doing nothing. I’m bruised from my neck, down my arms and back and can barely move around today.
So please please be aware so someone else doesn’t fall.
I will say that the place is beautiful and a great place to stay other than those issues .
