Au abord marginal et désuète, la permaculture nous redonne foi en nos capacités d'être humain à faire le juste bien durant notre courte présence sur cette Terre , tout en léguant un espoir alimentaire et des arbres aux générations futures. 

C’est aussi un acte de rébellion face au système présentement en place et une invitation à faire partie du changement que nous voulons voir apparaître. Forger les nouveaux cadastres pour encourager l'essor d'une sécurité alimentaire au Québec mais aussi partout dans le monde. 

Nous avons tous la nature au cœur de notre ADN et c’est un appel pour retourner à nos sources. Respirer de l’air frais, prendre du soleil, marcher sous le couvert verdoyant d’une forêt, écouter le grésil des chants d’oiseaux et le vent qui danse dans les feuilles. 


Eco-studio at Maïa Gardens

Bright and cosy ecological studio surrounded with permaculture gardens in summer, and by the Portneuf river. The studio is a bright and open space with 9' high ceilings, a living room, kitchenette and bedroom (sofa bed), separate bathroom with shower, sink and a compost toilet (odorless).

Come and find peace and quiet in the heart of nature in our permacultural gardens, with our chickens and turkeys, and many nearby activities such as skiing and trekking.

The main house is made of straw with solar panels. Please note that we offer high speed cabled Internet with adaptors for iPhone, USB-c and USB. 

Studio écologique lumineux et chaleureux entouré de jardins en permaculture en été, situé au bord de la rivière Portneuf. Le studio est un espace lumineux et ouvert avec des plafonds de 9' de haut, un salon, une cuisinette et une chambre (canapé-lit), une salle de bain séparée avec douche, lavabo et une toilette à compost (sans odeur).

Venez trouver le calme et la tranquillité en pleine nature dans nos jardins, avec nos poules et nos dindes, et de nombreuses activités à proximité comme le ski et la randonnée.

La maison principale est en paille avec des panneaux solaires. Veuillez noter que l'Internet est cablé avec adapteurs pour iPhone, USB-c et USB pour tous vos appareils.

Le dôme de la Tortue Blanche

OFF GRID - NO ELECTRICITY - NO WATER - COMPOST TOILET

A unique glamping experience located in the beautiful town of St-Mathieu-du-Parc.   

This confortable dome has a queen-size bed (bedding included) that faces a large bay opening with amazing views of the beautiful nature that surrounds it. 

*We are happy to share our group/family national park pass at the Dome that will give full access to La Mauricie National Park which is located just a 15-minute drive away (St-Mathieu entrance, this entrance is open from Mai until October); Hiking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and much more are waiting for you!*

This space is unique - and off grid. Please read the details below to help determine if its the right fit for you. :)  

This dome has no electricity and no water. Off grid also means a compost toilet -- Yay!  

Bring your bug spray, water, and food for a perfect quiet getaway. 

The dome has some games, cards, and books for you to enjoy as well.  

We have parking available for 2 cars. It’s in a cleared spot right in front of the dome. 

You must carry your things from the parking area for about a minute or so leading to the dome. 

There are no facilities to store food so please bring along your cooler and ice. 

Also there is wildlife so please, keep your food in the dome and in closed containers. 

We don't supply any firewood, we invite you to go at Canac, Canadian Tire or Rona to purchase everything you need ( don't forget the kindling)
There is wood on site available for emergency only.

   There is some cell service up in this part of the woods. Though the strength seems to vary depending on your device and your carrier.

MASSAGE THERAPY:

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to receive a relaxing massage or a therapeutic massage in the comfort of your Dome. 
These are provided by certified massage therapists. 

No need to break your relaxing state after your massage, you are already home, an unforgettable experience! 

Receipts for your insurance will be available on site.  

Who needs WIFI when there are tons of activities available close to the Dome; 

Only 15 minutes car ride from La Mauricie National Park ( St-Mathieu entrance).

  You have a 4x4 vehicle? Great, you are 20 minutes away from Lac à la Coureuse and Lac Larose with stunning views and amazing swimming spots :) Bring your paddle board!  

You will be only 10 minutes away from the very well known Duché de Bicolline if you are a fan of live action role-playing. 

‘’Bicolline has become a reference in the world of medieval-fantasy immersion and has grown into a community of players that come from all around the world.’’  

Lots of restaurants options are available to you in St-Mathieu-du-Parc downtown and the neighbor village, St-Élie-de-Caxton. 

We also have a liquor store and convenience store in St-Mathieu-du-Parc.

Town of   Shawinigan is 25 minutes away.
