Peaceful, Respectful, Nature watching, Fresh Air, Small lake to swim in (no chemicals allowed) We have free running hens (during the day) and a very happy go lucky and funny small dog. Take walks in the woods or in the area. Bike around hills and mountains. Proximity to St-Sauveur for restaurants, shopping and activities. Quiet people, no parties please. Ideally Non smokers. Come and enjoy a traditional, rustic camping experience on the mighty Ottawa River! Bring your water shoes and a canoe or kayak (or you may rent one of ours) for an unforgettable adventure. Located on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, east of the bridge that passes over from Hawkesbury, Ontario, this beautiful (mostly) deciduous forest is situated on both sides of the 344/Rte Des Outaouais. The 59 acre property (50 acres on land, ~9 acres of river/water) features scenic views, privacy and is host to many outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and more. The Point... The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Enjoy this historic, lazy river experience! Nearby Amenities... Numerous amenities are located within a distance of 1-3 kms, including a gas station with electric vehicle charging facilities, an IGA grocery store, and various restaurants such as McDonald's and Tim Horton's. For a classic poutine experience, Jos Patate is a great choice, having been around for many decades. If you're looking for a wide range of poutine options, La Fromagerie is the place to go and for ice cream lovers, La Crémière is located in the same building! ...It is a "must-visit" on a hot summer day. Tourism... Numerous tourist attractions are conveniently located in the vicinity, such as the exhilarating white water rafting experience on the Rouge River and the wildlife-filled Parc Omega zoo, both within a short 10-25 km distance. For a wider range of activities, day trips to Ottawa, Montreal, the Calypso water park, or Mont Tremblant are all approximately an hour's drive away.

Our site dates going back to 1832 when the Scottish settler Mr. Peter McArthur came to Dewittville to build and operate a grist mill, we Réal and Johanne purchased the beautiful property in 2008 as a retirement project and to express ourselves through arts, true custom woodworking and cabinetry which we do on the 3rd floor of our old mill. The site boasts four sites: Riverfront 1, Riverside 2, Bayside 3, Bayfront 4, all of which overlook the tranquil and lovely Chateauguay River. "And for a limited time site (Paradis d'artistes V.I.P Riverview) that is completely private see detail on this site or call for special question." We have a small white sandy beach that access to the old dam to provide our guest access to the river with a never-ending melody of peaceful water. While visiting, you can relax, go fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, or canoeing upstream and downstream, or you can bicycle on beautiful country paved roads, horse back ridding, visit artisans, orchards, chocolate factory, bakery, vineyards, Brewery, fresh fruit and vegetable grower, multiple farms and even eat in a few great eatery. Brien is a great host who helped us rake the leaves for our fire! The site has a beautiful view and he was very helpful with telling us where the bathroom was. It’s a really great first experience which is beginner friendly! Would definitely come back

Lovely, quiet, and clean environment! Very friendly host who greeted us after checking in and also we had a nice conversation while checking out. Absolutely recommended! Just pay attention for the available amenities to make sure you have everything you need.

I had another wonderful time at Brian’s campground! This was my second visit, and the experience was even better than the first. Brian has made some great upgrades he’s added free hammocks at all the campsites and built new docks, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The improvements really show how much he cares about creating a great experience for his guests I’ll definitely be coming back again!

This is a really sweet campsite. I had a wonderful stay. The site is on the river and very private, and a short walk away is a beautiful platform deck right on the water. Peaceful and relaxing, with a kind and accommodating host!

Perfect camp site riverside. One of the best campsites I’ve stayed at. It even came with a hammock! The deck where I pitched my tent was right on the water. Loved listening to the river. And though there are a few other campsites around, everything felt very private. Also Brian could not have been more accommodating. I was starting a three-week camping trip, and this was my first stop. Would have loved to stay the next day and swim in the river, but the weather turned to rain, so I headed out. I also appreciated how prompt Brian was at answering my messages/questions. Great spot!

We booked both the River View and Cattails site for us and friends. It is quiet as the neighbors are far enough away so they are not disturbing you and vice versa and you are right on the river. Brien was responsive ahead of the booking answering our questions and came around to make sure we were satisified with our sites (which we absolutely were) . You are also literally a minute from civilization so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything and having to go into town. We may have to make this an annual spot!!

This was a great experience, the host was there to greet me and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The lake is great for a swim, especially on a hot day. The dog Jack was so cute too! I would recommend it!
