About the listings:Each listing is completely private from the next, and we can accommodate tents, RVs, trailers, and camper vans. The listings do not have toilets, so we recommend bringing a camping toilet with you if you do not have a self-contained vehicle. Pets are welcome. During your stay with us, why not rent our cocoa shack for a romantic dinner. Light up the wood stove and wine & dine under the stars.

The property is perfect for any outdoor lover or wildlife watcher. Turkeys, owls, deer, rare birds and many more can all be seen during your stay. Enjoy lots of privacy with nature all around you. This is the perfect spot for tenters and those with small travel trailers. Pets on leash welcome. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
The trail system is perfect for easy hikes and short excursions to the creek, or nearby field. Boat rentals are available in Fitchbay, 5 min away. Bike and hiking trails as well as many more activities in the vicinity.

Do not show up with 2 or more vehicles with half a dozen people****** Please leave the site EXACTLY the way you left it. Our beautiful urban location near highway 410 and Bishop's University, directly on St. Francis river, makes it an exceptional starting point for cyclists who want to enjoy the Route Verte path; fish, canoe, kayak or tube the river or simply explore all Sherbrooke has to offer. Our birdlife is amazing and is a recognized birding location by provincial authorities, especially for swallows and chimney swifts. A fire pit will be made available, in respect of all fire bans, with firewood available for purchase.
In 1910, Agriculture Canada set up a research centre that operated until the 1950's.
The property was sold to a family that emigrated to Canada from Europe, to set begin a new life post WW2.
In 2015, I purchased the property to return it to its roots - regenerative farming, training, hospitality, poverty relief and healthy living.

During the day, you are welcome to relax in it too. Portable water will be provided, but bring your own drinks if possible. As a bonus treat, you are welcome to sleep in a very HIP camper, a 1980 retro dodge camper van.

It's a lovely little farm, dog friendly and the volunteer host is so kind and thoughtful! She picked fresh leaves that have a calming property and gave me a tour of the farm - I saw the chicken coup "she lovingly calls the ladies" and the garden in front is incredible! Amazing river front but I did not have the time to take a dip. Chris is very responsive and allowed me to extend my stay last minute! It's a slice of heaven that is close to everything. Lennoxville lovely village is walking distance!

Where to go
La Routes des Vins
The Eastern Townships is where Quebec wines began, and four planned routes let you explore the very best of the region's vineyards, along with restaurants and gourmet experiences. There are routes to be explored by car, campervan, or bike, all showcasing how incredibly beautiful this area is as you meander through tiny villages and towns.
Yamaska National Park
Embrace lake life at this park set around a massive man-made reservoir and its beaches. From boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and other aquatic activities to wilderness hikes through lush forest, Yamaska is a great park for a relaxing camping trip. There are a variety of frontcountry camping options, as well as rustic campsites for canoe campers and cyclists touring the reservoir.

This outdoor adventure park has a huge network of ziplines and rope courses that take you through the boreal forest.
Mont Orford National Park
In Mont Orford, campers can find deep forest inhabited by white-tailed deer, lakes where great blue herons fish, and a massive climbing cliff. Other activities include fishing, biking (and winter fat biking), alpine hiking trails, bouldering, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Lots of campgrounds off the option to stay in a chalet or an equipped site, or to go as rustic as you want in one of many backcountry sites.
When to go
Although the Eastern Townships is considered a year-round destination (snowsports help the area thrive through winter, when camping is available at most parks), June through October tend to be the most enjoyable times to visit the area's lakes, markets, and vineyards. High summer can be very busy, spring can be wet, and fall brings some of the most scenic vistas thanks to harvest season and changing leaves.
Know before you go
- Dunham is just 10 kilometers north of the border with Vermont. If you plan on hopping over to the US, be sure to have the right documentation.
- Cellphone reception in Dunham should be fine, but once you’re outside the city, don’t take it for granted that you’ll be able to use GPS or other cellular services.
- Getting around Dunham and the surrounding parks will be near impossible without a car.
