The Kirkfield Lift Lock, Fenlon Falls, Balsam Lake Provincial Park and Lindsay are all within a 30 minute drive. There are miles of paved country roads for biking or walking. You are also welcome to explore the property, see what vegetables are growing, enjoy the flower gardens, find the chickens, hear a rooster crow. Enjoy your evening sitting around a campfire telling stories or listening to the tree frogs. The dark night sky is ideal for star gazing.
Farm fresh produce is available for purchase in season as well as small batch maple syrup from our own trees.
We are 18 minutes (20km) from the Lindsay Exhibition, September 14th to 22nd, and the International Plowing Match, October 1st to 5th , 2024.
Please Note:
We are in an active farming area so expect the sounds and smells that go along with being in the country. Local country road traffic can be heard at times. Also, seasonally, you maybe fortunate to experience crops being cut and collected on nearby fields. Dogs are welcome but they must be always on leash as we have a cat, chickens and wildlife that roam the property. We also ask that you clean up after your pet. Campfires are permitted unless there is a ban in effect. We have seasonal insects we recommend you arrive prepared.

Or simply just relax and enjoy the soundings on the deck area.
The public beach for swimming is a quick walk down Beach Road. It has a large dock, picnic table, and grassy area. Or check out the sandbar and drop off at the boat launch at the end of the road. Enjoy beautiful sunsets here overlooking the western side of the lake.
