We’re surrounded by Beaverton on Lake Simcoe, Port Perry on Lake Scugog and Uxbridge (the Trail Capital of Canada), which are a close driving distance away. Around the corner from us, the Beaver River Wetland Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) is the perfect place for a hike or bike ride. There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – fabulous restaurants, breweries and wineries, top golf courses, beaches, fishing, watersports, agri-tourism experiences, events and more. November to April we keep 3 cottages open with hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces. You can watch the birds off your porch, go for a swim at the beach, use a complementary canoe or even rent a boat or seadoo to explore farther! In the summer months we offer a swimming area equipped with kayaks and water inflatables. In the winter, there is a skating rink when the weather permits! Generally Jan & Feb. Dec and Mar the weather sometimes is not cold enough. Such a lovely place to relax and get cozy! The A-Frame is super comfortable and cute, outhouse was clean, shower with heated water was amazing, and hot tub/sauna was definitely a plus! We had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for an opportunity to connect with nature. Wish we had more time there! Ann and Brian are also lovely hosts.

Wow! We came in mid October to see the autumn colors. What a great experience! First off the hosts are amazing and very helpful. The lodge itself is very comfy, the bed is super clean and comfy as well. There's enough firewood for the whole stay (2 Nights). Oh and our dog loved it as well! The place is around 20 min drive away from any nature hike, and there are plenty in the area. Highly reccomend

When I arrived, I like the fact that the host was very informative. She gave us a tour of the location and a relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed the cabin. It was really very pretty. First all, this was the best experience we had for a long time, we loving camping but also we were looking for a small lodge for me dogs, this place basically had everything we ever wished for. The cabin is nice and cozy, and there was also a decent ground that we can setup our camps, shower, even though out in the open, but surprisingly good. Host had provided everything from towels to gas bbq, and they were also kindly offering us late checkout because there was no new booking the day we checked out. Weekend Trip to Villa Vida Loca
My best friend and I had the absolute pleasure of spending three nights at the A-frame cabin, and we couldn’t have loved it more! From the moment we arrived, everything about this place felt special. First off, Ann and Bryan are exceptional hosts—so warm, attentive, and welcoming. They’ve created something truly magical here, with thoughtful touches throughout that made our stay effortless. Their pre-arrival guide was super clear and helpful, so we came fully prepared. As soon as you pull up, you're greeted with a cute little wagon to help bring your things to the cabin—and by their two sweet pups, Kane and Koda, who are just the friendliest welcome committee ever! The property is spotless and beautifully maintained. We spent plenty of time lounging by the pool, soaking in the hot tub, and just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There’s even a sauna on-site, which we skipped only because the weather was already toasty! Even though the cabin is on their property, we never felt like we were intruding. Quite the opposite—it felt like a home away from home. Ann and Bryan, thank you so much for your hospitality. We can’t wait to come back (likely in the fall and winter). Sound - after 10:00 pm there is a noise curfew, but even before that you must make sure you are respectful of other guests on the property who come to relax, as well as our neighbors in this quiet countryside region. In the event of any noise rule violations, such as loud music or disturbances after 10:00 PM, a $500 fee will be applied from the deposit. Power - we are on solar energy, embracing an eco-conscious lifestyle. Our off-grid setup ensures that your stay in the Dome is in harmony with nature.
