An offgrid rustic style bunkie that sleeps 2 in the loft (double mattress), 1 comfortably on the sofa pullout, and one more small person on the chair that turns into a small cot. Please bring your own pillows, however clean sheets and warm blankets are provided.
Rusty also provides cooking pots, pans, dishes, and eating utensils, along with a small amount of non-potable water to clean hands and dishes.
Firepit with cooking grate is available for hipcampers. Outdoor cooking only. Wood can be provided as requested. Please do not cut from property.
A small hiking trail on the property will lead you to Rustys favorite hangout, Red Deer Lake. The trail is a bit of a challenge with many obstacles so please use caution and take your time. Those who rent kayaks or pedal boat will have their vessel waiting for them at this location. Please say "Hi" to Rusty when passing by on your hike to Red Deer Lake.
Trails for atv/utvs or others looking for a longer adventure are available a short walking distance off site. Message for further details.
A cedar and pine outhouse is available. This outhouse contains a composting toilet that is emptied between stays. This keeps odors down.

1 night at BAM’s Spanish Riviera
Perfect stop between Little Current and Sudbury. The Century-Old Dovetailed Cabin is super cozy and it was lovely to curl up in the chair and read while the rain hit the roof. Even with the cold rainy October temps, I was super warm with the help of a powerful heater. This Hipcamp is a piece of history with lots of things to explore. Beth and her pups are great hosts. I hope to return for a longer stay with a kayak in tow.

Weekend Trip to BAM’s Spanish Riviera
Beth is a wonderful host and such an interesting person - I’m so grateful I found her place. Her land and the historic buildings she has renovated with care lie along the Spanish River and all come together to create an amazing place. It was a treat to stay at this former canoeing base camp knowing it was built in the 1920s and that it was a part of the area's history. Cabin #3 where I stayed was right on the river, charming in its rusticity and a cozy and lovely space. Coincidentally, Beth is also a co-organizer of Sudbury’s first Latin American Film Festival, which I luckily got to attend. I had a wonderful stay - thank you Beth and all the best!

Cabin was nicely furnished and fit me, my husband, our large dog, and 8 month old son very well. Large mostly flat grassy area was perfect for the dog and the baby.
We saw Kevin when we arrived & he was very nice and helpful. After that, we didn’t see a single person for the 3 days we were there.
Saying hi to rusty on the way to the lake was cute and made me laugh. Not a very groomed trail, was nice and easy enough but definitely tripping hazards for anyone with any mobility issues. There is also a large step up into the cabin so bring a sturdy stool if you’re coming with youngins or others who may have a hard time with that.
Fire pit came with racks was great for cooking and keeping warm late at night.
We had a great time in this private off grid cabin, would definitely come back another time !

A beautiful spot, quiet, lots to do. The host Beth is amazing, along with her dogs. The only drawback was not having charcoal for Bbq. I would certainly go again. Thank you Beth.

Weekend Trip to BAM’s Spanish Riviera
It was really an amazing experience we have had for 2 days
Though it was one night and 2 days experience we felt that we are living there since months.
We have done canoeing, experienced sauna, had bonfire and next day again did canoeing.
We met Beth's friend and her mom and they really treated us like a part of there house, taking care of whatever we need and informing all the rules for canoeing with love.
Moreover we had a lovely and a unique experience with sauna, because we have to sit in sauna and when it's too hot we have to dive in river and again come back to sauna, We did that a couple of times which gave us a sense of refreshment.
Apart from this the cabin have a good space than we expected and the kitchen which is common and huge.
The best part we enjoyed was playing with the pets, they were so friendly. We really enjoyed Rodio's🐶 company. He is a really adorable pet.
When we came back to our house, there was this feeling of going back again and living there.
So i guess that defines everything..!

We stayed for 2 nights. The cabin was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The mosquitoes were absolutely horrible but both beds came with mosquitoe nets that were 100% needed. We mostly enjoyed relaxing in the cabin due to the intense amount of mosquitoes, but did go out on a canoe one afternoon when we had a nice breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay. Overall, in spite of the mosquitoes, we had a wonderful stay. Our host Beth, made us coffee and tea and was readily available to answer any questions we had and did her best to make us feel welcome. Overall, the property and host were both excellent.
