If renting The Love Shack your morning coffee awaits at the Paris cafe while birds and frogs serenade you. Spend your day at the beach and return home to a hot shower and bbq.  A Provincial Park pass is provided free with accommodation of The Love Shack.  There is a queen sized bed and a small loveseat in the accommodation.  A fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom with flush toilet and even air conditioning for those that wish.  An oasis with all the comforts of home!

Should you wish to tent, the property is yours to enjoy with Natures Nook.  Bring your camping gear and let nature absorb your senses.  There is an outhouse for tenters and a Berkey water filtration system for drinking water.   There are various chairs around the property and a dining area (sitting 5)  A communal firepit is available for your enjoyment.   Additional tenting areas are available for family/friendship gatherings on the property.  Should you wish to have a private gathering we will block off the property for your party members only. The wood-burning sauna and hot tub offer an authentic off-grid wellness experience. Heating takes time, so start as soon as you arrive. Full instructions sent 2 days before check-in. Optional pre-heating service may be available for $50. Expect natural elements like cedar-tinted water and light debris.

Firewood is available on-site: $8 per bag or 3 for $20. Fire starters: $3 each.

Water & Electricity: There’s a tap on-site for general use (well water, not filtered).  The sink in the bunkie has cold, unfiltered well water. There is no "filtered" drinking water on-site—please bring your own. The bunkie is equipped with solar-powered lighting and basic power.

Wi-Fi & Cell Service: There is no Wi-Fi and very limited or no cell service. Plan to unplug and enjoy the quiet.

The Hedgehog

The perfect secluded countryside getaway for solos, couple or friends. Everything you'll need and nothing you don't including mattress, fireplace, beautiful view, TV, washroom (with toilet and shower) and the great outdoors. Get in touch with nature and wildlife as you wander through trails and 40 acre forested area.

Sleeping area on the main level with a king-size bed and a large window. The listing comes with an option of a loft.

The loft is accessible by ladder comfortably sleeps 2. We provide a futton pillow/mattress, pillows and some blankets but you can bring your own sleeping bags.

Enjoy watching the starts at night by the fire and visits from the abundant wildlife. Dog friendly!

The space

Come to the Hedgehog to completely relax and disconnect (seriously, you will because there is no cell service!).

You can drive up to the Bunkie all year round unless your vehicle has especially low clearance. The road/path out to the bunkie started as a well-made tractor path that has held up well over the years but has some rocks and bumps. Once through the gate it’s only a 1-minute drive to where you will park. This road may be a bit muddy!

If you are looking for a Winter Bunkie getaway, we would be happy to host you; please note the following:

- If there has been a lot of snow the private road from the street to the Bunkie is not plowed. Depending on the type of vehicle you are driving, you may have to park at the gate entrance and walk in (4-5min walk) to get to the Bunkie.

- There is a wood fireplace in the Bunkie for sleeping, it will keep you very toasty.

- There is lots of free wood available for an outside fire. We have a small grill available for cooking, bring your own coal.

- Bring your own extra blankets and sleeping bags.

- A bunkie with running water inside and outside and comes along with a hydro.

- NOTE: There are 2 other bunkies in the area and camping spots in the summer; you will have lots of privacy but be aware you may not be alone across the full 40 acres!

The bunkie has solar lighting for the evenings. If you don’t want to find your own firewood in the forest you can pick it up from locals on your way in for $5/bundle (see stands at the end of driveways).

It is a big chunk of land but you can't really get 'lost' on it for any significant period of time. We are bounded by roads so eventually you will find your way. But, if you aren't experienced in the woods you may want to keep your wandering short, to start, as you get familiar with the land.

• 15 minutes from Port Dover or Simcoe – it’s the perfect retreat for a quick getaway.

Enjoy a waterfront view of Lake Erie 105 feet above the water!

This quiet private area is surrounded by forest with a beautiful view of Lake Erie. It’s off the main road on a dead end road with no authorized access, situated at the back of a 12 acre property.

The camp site is ____ sqft plus a path that can be walked on through the forest (there is some private property and private areas around the camp site that should not be accessed, they will be marked)

The&nbsp;5th wheel trailer with 2 single beds can be combined into a double bed. The trailer has many amenities including,&nbsp;a fridge/freezer, bell satellite TV, Stereo system, Kitchen with some supplies, potable water, toilet with a septic system, outdoor furniture, propane bbq, 2 burner hot plate, picnic table, and&nbsp;fire-pit. Many chairs to sit at both the fire-pit and deck, the trailer has a retractable awning that can be used to provide more shade for the deck

There is no direct beach access, however, the beach is 5 mins driving time to Port Bruce, 15 mins to Port Stanley or 25 mins to Port Burwell

The trailer is an older 5th wheel in livable condition, set in the forest, the trailer has signs of aging, there are animals that call the forest their home, we do the best we can to keep them out but animals will be animals it is not luxury, but very comfy, quiet and peaceful  

It does have its limitations

No heat, no hot water, no WiFi, no shower, no oven, no stove, no microwave

The water pump switch has to be turned on and off during use

Some phone service providers work better than others on site 

As the property is on the edge of the cliff at the back, please use common sense when close to the edge, the edges are not meant to be stood on, it is quite safe if you don’t go right to the edge 

if you are looking to turn it off for a few days, get away from busy city life for a weekday/weekend or just simply reconnect with nature- this is the place!”

A nature enthusiasts private 18 acre backcountry-style getaway. Located in the beautiful Braemar Valley- 10 minutes from Woodstock, Ontario. Pine/oak/walnut stands, babbling brook, wildflower fields. 3+ km's of hiking trails through the forest, along the fields, across the creek and overlooking the valley. Cyclists can try out the km's of scenic gravel roads in the area.

The camp site is&nbsp;located in&nbsp;a creek-side wildflower field surrounded by silver&nbsp;maples, cottonwoods and pine stands and&nbsp;has a thunder box,&nbsp;&nbsp;picnic table, and fire pit. Pets are welcome&nbsp;so&nbsp;long&nbsp;as&nbsp;they&nbsp;are controlled and cleaned&nbsp;up after.

Our 75 acre ecological farm is just south-east of Woodstock, ON, with easy access to the 401 & 403.  Camp out with views of rolling pastures of cattle and free range chickens.  Explore the 25 acre bush, where you are sure to see our heritage pastured pigs rooting or lazing around.  You will be greeted by our German shepherds, Ruby and Brooks, when you arrive. 
Experience a taste of place by visiting our on-farm store featuring our 100% grass fed beef & and other heritage pastured meat products, as well as a large variety of locally produced groceries.  A quiet, beautiful space to explore awaits you.  Farm tours or picnics are available for purchase prior to your arrival as extras in your hipcamp booking.  

While here, be sure to visit the On-Farm Shoppe for fresh eggs, meats, and other great local products.

This wider clearing is a recommended spot to set up camp as it is very easy to pull a vehicle up to and is still pretty well secluded.

Offering 10 acres - Our property is entirely unique, hidden back about 50 meters from the road, we have natural resources planted including blue spruce, Norway spruce, white cedar, white pine, Jackpine, and red oak which make up the 6,500 trees we had brought in to make our own hideaway forest.While in town check out&nbsp;Clovermead Apiaries, Pinafore Park, Winter Wheat, Steed & Company Lavender, Anything Used and Sparta Country Candles, Springwater Conservation Area, Port Bruce Provincial Park, Quai Du Vin Estate Winery, Gay Lea Dairy Heritage Museum, Archie Coulter Conservation Area.The property offers&nbsp;two sites and is ideal for tent and car camping. Carolinian Forest Twin Creeks

Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent next to the Twin Creeks on our property, where you can walk along the creek bank to the Carolinian forest, known for its biodiversity. We have six off-grid campsites with space for up to six people each. Pets are welcome. Please note, the parking area is not next to the campsite – you will have to hike in about 10 minutes or more.&nbsp;Campfires are allowed on the property – bring your own wood. This is a mostly rural area, and there is no toilet, water, or other amenities, so make sure to bring drinking water. Enjoy walking along the fields and through the untouched Carolinian forest, spotting a variety of plants.&nbsp;About 15 km from the shores of Lake Erie, this property offers a quiet place to camp near local outdoor attractions such as Rondeau Provincial Park and Big Bend Conservation Area, each within a 30-minute drive. For food and a few shops, Ridgetown is about 10 km to the southwest; the larger town of Chatham is 30 minutes past Ridgetown.
