I am not in Deer Lake, I'm 45 mins away from Deer Lake. I have 2 Glamping Tents on the Banks of the Upper Humber River, on the West Coast Of Newfoundland. 8 kms in a dirt road to the river. BBQ, Coleman stove, and all kitchen utensils are supplied. All you have to bring is your own food. Kayaking tours and rentals are available on site. Check out Humber Off-Grid Tours' Facebook page.

We sit on a rock, as does all of Newfoundland, overlooking a creek fed by Bauline Pond, which flows into the rocky beach next to our property. We are sheltered by a rocky hillside, under which we walk to the beach just 30 feet away.
We have views of Bauline Harbour, an active working harbour with two commercial fishing boats, one island/whale tour boat, and many local fishing boats when the fishery is open.
We are at the cultural center of Bauline, a hamlet of fifteen houses, a wharf, a pond, and access to the East Coast Trail. Just beyond Bauline Pond, there is an excellent restaurant, FORAGER, and a hotel, Cliff’s Edge Retreat.
We are at the heart of the Irish Loop, or the Southern Shore, and very conveniently located for travel:
North to St. John’s (50 minutes), south to Trepassey (1:15), west to Dildo (1:15), and east to Ireland (about 5 hours).

We're a family of three residing in St. John's Newfoundland. I am a coastal researcher and hiking guide.
This is a little bit of property we purchased a few years ago that we intend to be building on this coming year. On maps it is 18 Molly's Lane on Google Maps but you will need the pictures below to find it's actual location. The lane is actually Butlers Lane, but also Tobin's in some map apps. It is the last road turning left heading towards the ocean, so not hard to miss.
There is an old road onto the property that guests can park their vans/rv/vehicles. Five minute walk from the water in one direction and town maintained trail into the barrens in another direction. Folks are friendly and of Irish decent. We ask that you not walk around the property as their is come cow parsnip, from July to August. However, the parking area will be kept clear.
No fires and no waste to be left on the property. Dogs on leash permitted, but again beware of the cow parsnip.

Stowbridges Cabin is a restored two-story fishing house set in a quiet, sheltered cove along Newfoundland’s Bay of Islands. Surrounded by rugged coastline and the North Arm Hills, it’s an ideal off-grid basecamp for hiking, exploring, or simply unplugging by the ocean.
IMPORTANT & MUST READ: This property is only accessible by boat, with a ride of approximately 1 hour. Guests must arrange a boat charter at the time of booking, which comes at an additional cost. The host will coordinate and connect you with the charter service. For the smoothest crossing, it’s recommended to travel in the morning or evening, as afternoon winds can make the bay rough. Initial arrival would be at Bay of Islands Yacht Club in Corner Brook, NL. You'll be taken to the cabin from there.
The cabin sleeps up to 10–12 guests and includes a full kitchen, running water, a bathroom with hot and cold water, and a wood stove for cozy evenings. The site was small and quiet, the kids had a lot of fun running around. They enjoyed the oversized plastic dart board that was set up behind one of the RVs.
