Stowbridges Cabin is a restored two-story fishing house set in a quiet, sheltered cove along Newfoundland’s Bay of Islands. Surrounded by rugged coastline and the North Arm Hills, it is an ideal off-grid basecamp for hiking, exploring, or simply unplugging by the ocean. IMPORTANT: Access & Logistics This property is only accessible by boat (approximately a one-hour trip). • Charters: Guests must arrange a boat charter at the time of booking for an additional cost. The host will coordinate this and connect you with the charter service. • Arrival: Your journey begins at the Bay of Islands Yacht Club in Corner Brook, NL, where you will be picked up and taken to the cabin. • Pro-Tip: We recommend morning or evening crossings, as afternoon winds can make the bay rough. The Cabin The cabin sleeps up to 10–12 guests and includes: • Full Kitchen & Running Water: Modern essentials in a remote setting. • Bathroom: Equipped with both hot and cold water. • Comfort: A wood stove for cozy evenings and an outdoor fire pit with beach access. Connectivity & Activities • Internet: There is currently no cell service at the cabin (limited signal is available a short hike away). Starlink is currently being installed; until then, expect a true "disconnect-and-reset" experience. • Local Adventures: Enjoy the Saltbox Restaurant or book an excursion with Everoutdoor Adventures. IMPORTANT: This property is only accessible by boat, with a ride of approximately 1 hour. Guests must arrange a boat charter at the time of booking, which comes at an additional cost. The host will coordinate and connect you with the charter service. For the smoothest crossing, it’s recommended to travel in the morning or evening, as afternoon winds can make the bay rough. Initial arrival would be at Bay of Islands Yacht Club in Corner Brook, NL. You'll be taken to the cabin from there. The cabin sleeps up to 10–12 guests (10 bunks) across 3 levels and includes a full kitchen, running water, a bathroom with hot and cold water, and a wood stove for cozy evenings. Outside, enjoy a fire pit, beach access, and sweeping coastal views. There is currently no cell service at the cabin (limited signal available a short hike away), though Starlink internet is in the process of being installed. Until then, this remains a true disconnect-and-reset experience in a remote, unforgettable setting.
