Experience the famous Shuswap River "float" which is only a 5 minute walk to the Baxter bridge boat launch, park and community hall. The Ashton Creek convenience store and gas station has all your basic camping needs including ATV gas and propane (also a 5 minute walk). Access to hiking trails including a unique water fall nearby. Mabel Lake Resort, boat launch and Golf Club is a short 20 minute drive. Camping at Olich Creek Farm is unique and family friendly. Most of our rescued farm animals roam the property freely and absolutely love human visitors. Families with children will also enjoy the natural play areas the farm offers including a shallow creek and visits with our chickens and ducks. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash. We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 2 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay. Should you find that your desired dates are already booked, please reach out to us as we may have a back up spot available. Please keep in mind we are an organic farm homestead that offers an agritourism experience. We are not a manicured campground :) Your camping fees go directly to support our aging farm animals and horses.

Our property sits just off the main road with a view of the lake and access to the beach and forest. We have two sites that can hold up to four guests each. Pets are welcome. Nearby lakeside attractions include Shuswap Lake Marine Provincial Park and Cinnemousun Narrows Provincial Park The property has a firepit with provided firewood, and an outhouse. The 2 fully serviced Rv's have running water, power and kitchen & bathroom facilities. Flat parking is available. For those bringing an RV, the pull-in site can accommodate up to 40 feet in length. There are no hookups, and generators are not allowed.  To the west along the lake, the communities of Scotch Creek and Ross Creek have a few shops and food options. The greater Shuswap Lake area offers a wealth of activities, from kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, and fishing to visiting wineries and dining at local restaurants.

We absolutely enjoyed our time at Heather's farm. The RV spot was nice and secluded, but just a short walk to the washroom. We loved all of the social animals and space to roam with our dog. Would definitely recommend staying here!

It was amazing! Comfy beds, warm and cozy space. Even though the highway is close, inside we couldn’t hear any traffic from outside :) We would suggest some sort of lamp/light fixture in each bunk. Otherwise everything was perfect :)

Really beautiful spot, both the site itself and the town super nearby, Enderby. We stayed at the cow pasture site which was tucked away but still very near the washrooms and everything else! The animals were also a lot of fun too lol. If you stay here say hi to Charlie the cat for me !!

Wonderful first time Hipcamp experience. I was solo camping at the Cow Pasture View site, and loved interacting with all the animals roaming around. My site had trees for shade, very quiet, and super convenient to the washroom and shower. Heather and her mom were very relaxed and welcoming; would love to come again.😍

The forest bunkie was a perfect mix between hotel and camping. AC, electricity and sophisticated security all inside a beautiful cabin with bunk beds, custom wood furniture and a mini wood stove. It smelled amazing, just like the woodsy forest that surrounded it. Also, showers, toilets and laundry super close by. Lastly and best of all, they welcomed my doggie with treats, poop bags and dishware ! I wish could have stayed longer!

Boulder Mountain was great. Loved the hot tub and morning coffee. A very dog friendly place. However reserving them via Hipcamp was not great. They had not even noticed that there was a Hipcamp reservation request. Luckily they still had a spot for us.

We loved this stay! We were in the Mountain View camp spot, and it was flat and private with gorgeous views of the mountains. We loved wandering the property and seeing the horses, goats, cows, chickens and ducks. There is also the most peaceful little creek that you can sit next to. The best part is that we forgot to bring potatoes for our camp dinner, and there was a potato patch on site and we got to go out with Heather and pick our own potatoes. It was so great! This is a gem of a spot, and you won’t be disappointed.

The best pets off leash camping near Revelstoke guide

When to go

July through early October are the best months for a Revelstoke camping adventure. Snow can linger in the mountains through June and can start again in October. The Meadows in the Sky Parkway in Mount Revelstoke National Park is usually open from June into October, although the summit area has a shorter season – generally mid-July through September. Revelstoke is busiest in July-August and during the winter, when you can ski from late November into April.

Know before you go

Keep your gas tank topped up when you’re driving through this BC region. There are no gas stations or other services on Highway 1 between Revelstoke and the town of Golden, 150 kilometres to the east on the other side of Glacier National Park.
If you’re traveling east toward Revelstoke from Vancouver, the city of Kamloops, along Highway 1, is a good place to stop for supplies, with big box stores, gear sellers, and local shops.
Revelstoke itself has several outdoor gear shops, grocery stores, and several fun cafes, where you can pick up coffee, baked goods, sandwiches, and other snacks.
