I sold a business in Toronto and moved West in 1990 and drove all over North America looking for a new place to settle and raise a family. While camping in the Kootenay's I found this oasis and bought it. I have raised a family living totally off the grid since and love it. The water here is so clean and and the air is so fresh is why I stay. The night sky is so hard to explain it has to be seen to believe. Come check it out and you will agree. Learn more about this land: Enjoy camping on our 25-acre property just outside of Cranbrook, BC! We have multiple spots to choose from. You can camp beside the creek, in an open field, or up high with beautiful views of the valley. It all depends on your preferences and the privacy that you desire. We welcome tent and RV campers. If you're bringing an RV, there are sites that do not require levelling and we can accommodate vehicles up to 75ft in length. Bring your animals - there are a lot of great spaces for them to play! Our yard is equipped for horseback riding with a horse ring and stable.  The property is a great step-off point for ATV, dirt bikes, horseback and hiking adventures.  Potable water, toilet, picnic table, wifi and showers are available. Pets welcome, campfires permitted.  We are a 15-20 minute drive to Cranbrook. As the basecamp of the Kootenay Rockies, Cranbrook has it all - From all the trails one can dream of to multiple award-winning golf courses all within a 20-minute drive out of town, Cranbrook is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Learn more about this land:Our Hipcamp sites are located in an 800 acre designated area.The Hipcamper can choose from sites beside a babbling brook, up the mountainside overlooking the valley or various lookout landings. Campsites will be at least 1/4 of a kilometre apart to ensure social distancing. There is an abundance of wildlife from black bears, grizzlies, cats, elk, deer, moose, wild turkeys, bald eagles. This is also a working ranch, so you will occasionally have a visit from some curious cow-calf pairs.Hazel Creek is 2 minutes from the property with lots of good Brook Trout fishing.Pets are welcome, campfires are permitted.

Cornelius was so friendly and the place is beautiful and well kept. He helped us find the perfect spot for our rig then, offered firewood, informed us of bathroom facilities then left us alone to enjoy. It was perfect.

Loved the campsite! Me and my friends had all of the spaces for us. Washroom is very accessible and big! would fit 2 people in the shower tbh. Everyone had fun for our 2 nights and 3 days stay. Wish could be longer :( Two dogs on the site were very very friendly. Very peaceful place to camp. No pavement going into the site. All in all 10/10

Lovely spot just outside of Cranbrook. Big sites, nicely spaced apart. Super fresh free-range eggs available that were so good! Highly recommend the sauna and a cold plunge in the creek. Loved that there is a washroom and shower available. Cornelius was an excellent host and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The dogs Fergus and Murphy were very friendly too. Would definitely stay here again!

Cornelius is a great host and the property is amazing. Beautiful views of the mountain and loads of privacy. Definitely recommend you have a sturdy car as the road gets bumpy. But worth the trip.

Amazing experience!! The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful with any requests during me and my dogs stay. I highly recommend taking the opportunity to have a sauna and cold plunge in the river while you are there! It was perfect for deepening into self while connecting to the beautiful land. It is a very large compound with a beautiful creek. The washroom and hot shower are nicer than expected. Cornelius and his wife even let us sleep in their trailer so that we did not have to lie stiff in our SUV. We asked for a special favour from them - helping us to freeze our ice- packs! And they were willing to help. We will definitely recommend this place!
