Conveniently located between Creston and Nelson (approximately 1 hour from each) and only 2 minutes from the Kootenay Bay ferry terminal, Soul’s Paradise is easy to access while feeling worlds away.
The free Kootenay Lake ferry connects you to Balfour, and bicycles are welcome onboard. From Balfour, you’re only about 15 km from the famous Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort — perfect for a relaxing day trip.

Nestled steps from the untamed edge of Kootenay Lake, this remote cabin isn't just a place to stay—it's an invitation to experience life at its most extraordinary. It is a destination by itself. This is your passport to a world where nature reigns supreme; adventure lurks around every emerald-green corner, and artistry dances with the elements.
The space
A cozy cabin with laid back elegance awaits.
The moment you step inside, you'll be surrounded by the warmth of this relaxed lakeside cabin. Some of the features are made from found beach wood and every piece has a story and it's as if the very soul of the lake is intertwined in the cabins design. The cabin has one queen size bed, a comfy sofa, extra large bar fridge, fan, delightful kitchenette and vintage wood stove.
The cabin in incredible but the outdoor 1950’s inspired kitchen will blow your mind. Stocked with the means to make a gourmet meal, you will want to use more than just the BBQ.

Washing and relieving
Once you’ve had enough swimming for the day, experience the tropical on-demand outdoor shower. All the guests say it feels as if they are showering in Hawaii. The outhouse is sparkling clean and private.

Beachside Paradise
Plunk yourself in a provided lawn chair, or take a dip in water, then get ready for the star show. With no dwellings on the other side of the lake, there is no light pollution here. Let the cool waters of Kootenay lake soothe your soul as you soak in the sights and sounds of the untamed forest around you. BBQ located by the outdoor kitchen. The kitchen, hammock, BBQ and outhouse are completely yours.
Beach
There are 4 paddle boards, 1 kayak and a vintage cedar strip canoe available for all guests. There are 2 rentals on the property so be expected to share the water vessels. The spacious beach has enough zones supplied with chairs and parasols for all to privately enjoy. Guests and myself having access from 9am-8pm.
Consciousness and responsibility
Please do not bring plastic water bottles. The water here is divine.
Firewood is not provided. You can easily pick up bundles enroute at gas stations or at our local Lakeview store located 5 mIn north.

This fully furnished and fully equipped cottage is super cozy for a single person or couple. Always pet friendly and no pet or cleaning fee!
The cottage offers a memory/gel queen bed with 100% cotton sheets, down pillows, down comforter and 100% cotton towels. The space includes a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, toaster, blender, Keurig, French press, plates, glasses, silverware, stainless steel pots and pans. Just bring your groceries and pet food!
Wifi, 1 1/2 gig. The cottage is next to the West Arm Provincial Park, hiking and biking trails are all pet-friendly! A short walk to Kootenay Lake and a 5-minute drive to the beach (pet friendly). The cottage is close to Balfour, Nelson, Ainsworth Hot Springs, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park and spawning channels, Old Growth Forest and the Kokanee Glacier.

Weekend Trip to Sweet Beach House-edge of water
We loved our stay here! Truly a little slice of heaven. The beach was gorgeous, the bed comfortable and the space was peaceful and quiet. We couldn't have asked for more. The host was quick to respond to any questions and was wonderful. Would definitely stay again.
