"Abbieglassie" is 110km south of MItchell in Mulga country with some box flats and pretty waterholes on the Wallum Creek. We have 30,216ha and run cattle and some sheep. There is plenty of bird life.Camping is on the One Mile Waterhole. This waterhole never has been known to be dry and is ideal for camping and some fish are caught.There is no mobile coverage here. Bookings are confirmed as soon as possible and there's plenty of room. Please contact us before booking in case there are other bookings for that date. If you need to contact us call the landline (access via My Trips). You'll need to be self-contained (your own toilet) as we have no amenities just a beautiful setting for you to rest your weary head.Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Please check with us before lighting a fire. Dogs permitted but must be on a lead and well controlled.

Abbieglassie ticks all the boxes if you are looking to get away from it all. There are only two campsites on this sheep and cattle station, both by the water, so no pesky neighbours to contend with. We stayed at the One Mile Creek location, which has deep swimming holes perfect for cooling off on a hot day. You need to be fully self-sufficient and there’s no mobile service. It’s perfect if you want privacy, wide open spaces and relaxation. There’s plenty of flora and fauna around to admire and beautiful birdsong to enjoy. We were so well looked after by the fifth generation family members who run the station. Thank you, Stuart and Deb. We will be back and hope the rest of the family are doing well now

One Mile Waterhole is a beautiful camp where you can enjoy the serenity completely alone. Easy access made it especially enjoyable and our hosts were very friendly.

This was a beautiful and very private camp. In the middle of nowhere really, but beautiful. It is 110km south of Mitchel so allow that time to get there. Road was dirt and bituman but all in good condition.

Thanks Christine for allowing us to stay on your beautiful property. Great waterhole to camp beside, lots of birds to watch, plenty of firewood for the evening fire. Certainly recommend for anyone else to stay for a quiet bit of camping!
