The host Kim was so friendly & was happy to let us meet all the animals which were very cute. Also, the view from where we were camped was beautiful, looking across the valley & listening to all the black cockatoos was amazing. It was super easy with our two dogs & there were some lovely walking trails close by as well. Definitely on the list to visit again.

Kim is an absolutely wonderful host, with a gorgeous property. There is no shortage of hospitality and good old fashioned country friendliness here. Kim is willing to share her time and knowledge to get you the best experience and value for money in the area. Feeding the goats and horses, walking across the road to the Blackwood River and Sunnyside nature reserve or just sitting on the deck and watching the world and the ducks go by, there are suitable options for everyone. With picturesque morning mist and sunny afternoons, this was a gorgeous place to stop and you can’t imagine a host better than Kim. Looking forward to many more trips in the future

Easy to find. Simple and convenient. I booked and turned up 20 mins later and someone was waiting by the gate to wave me in. Friendly hosts I’ll be back for sure.

Sunnybrook Farm stay site

Kim and Darren have built a little slice of heaven and are graciously sharing it with their guests. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was the perfect place to bring in the new year, we booked the cabin and had our caravan in the top paddock as we had my parents with us as well. The kids loved the space to play and Kim was kind enough to show them around the property and feed some of the animals. It is an incredibly tranquil setting and only a 12 min drive into Bridgetown for groceries, cafe and restaurants. Key things about the cabin, it has everything you need but nothing you don’t - it’s not a hotel, it’s a place to escape from the craziness, disconnect (or reconnect) and unwind. There’s no 240v so you’re not blow drying your hair or charging your laptop and the tv screen is outside and it’s on the nature channel 24/7. There’s a good sized fridge, gas cooking inside and bbq hot plate outside. The shower with a view is a nice touch as well. We would definitely stay again next time we are in WA 😊

Peace and quiet back with nature.

We loved the cabin, off grid solar set up. Was peaceful and quiet. Totally back to nature with the only was noise from the animals and native wildlife. Cabin was clean and tidy the bed was comfortable.

Camping with horses!

Sunnybrook Farm was a fantastic place to stay. I camped with my two horses and had a paddock and a round yard to use. Kim had great communication before and during my stay and was so helpful in making sure the horses had water and everything they needed. I had a look at the cabins and they would also be a great option for future stays. Kim showed me some great trail rides nearby so we had some great places to explore. The river is so close and I’ll be sore to take a kayak next time to explore the river. I highly recommend staying at Sunnybrook Farm.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing. Kim & Darren were wonderful hosts and even took us on an afternoon tour to see/feed all the animals. Lots of space for the kids to run and explore. Beautiful views. A big Brook for swimming in, even has a rope swing that the kids spent hours on! Short trip to Bridgetown which has wonderful facilities. Would highly recommend. :)

Farm stay that was beyond the stars

My first experience using Hicamper and I definitely chose the right place to stay. We had all the necessities for a comfortable stay and being in the perfect spot for some Astrophotography with no light pollution. Our hosts were extremely helpful and were great to allow the kids to visit all the animals and had a great place for a swim. Look forward to staying here again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fabulous Stay! What an incredible find! Our stay at the red robin cabin was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and welcomed. The cabin was beautifully set up — clean, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up to the peaceful farm surroundings was pure bliss. The views were stunning, the fresh air was rejuvenating, and the quiet was exactly what we were craving. We loved being able to slow down, switch off, and enjoy nature while still having the comfort of a well-appointed cabin. The hosts were wonderful — friendly, responsive, and clearly passionate about sharing their slice of paradise. It’s obvious a lot of love and care has gone into this place. If you’re looking for a peaceful farm escape with charm, comfort, and gorgeous surroundings, this cabin is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to come back — highly, highly recommend! 🌿✨

Our new FAVOURITE! 🤩

My 11 yr old son and I had a FANTASTIC weekend getaway to SunnyBrook Farm. It is safe to say this is our new favourite spot. The property is stunning - the countless hours of hard work that have invested into the place are obvious. It is close enough to Perth for one or two nights but there is also heaps to do if you plan to stay longer. There’s a reserve for walks nearby and you’re only about 15 mins out of town. The cabins are equipped with everything you need including fresh eggs on arrival, condiments, oil & fresh butter in the kitchen, even mossie candle on the deck. What makes this place exceptional is the level of care the hosts went to make our stay comfortable & immersive. Kim greeted us on arrival to talk us through everything. She checked in to make sure we were all good after a few massive storms came through on our first evening. She took the time to introduce us to all the animals & their babies (of which there were many!). We definitely picked the right time of year to go down. We were even offered an extra night to celebrate being their first guests at Red Robin - of course I couldn’t refuse. We were left with a strong sense that the hosts aren’t just ‘trying’ to be good hosts…. they are genuinely kind, conscientious and compassionate people. 99% of me wants to strongly encourage everyone to take a trip down to SunnyBrook…but the selfish 1% wants to keep this little haven a secret for only those who will truly appreciate its value

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this phenomenal farm retreat, and it was everything I hoped for and more. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature and friendly animals, this is the place to be. The property has a truly idyllic setting. The mornings are kissed with brilliant sunshine, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee as the day begins. As the afternoon rolls in, the farm provides plenty of natural shade, offering a comfortable respite from the sun—ideal for lazy afternoons or a quiet read. Animal lovers, rejoice! The farm is a haven of charming life. We were absolutely delighted to see the newest arrivals: graceful horses with their playful foals, adorable Nigerian dwarf goats with their energetic kids, bustling hens with their fluffy chicks, and serene ducks with their tiny ducklings. Observing these young families was a highlight of my trip. Surrounded by expansive bushland, the atmosphere is incredibly serene and private. For those who love the outdoors, you are spoiled for choice with the abundant walking and bridle trails right on your doorstep. I spent hours exploring the beautiful natural surroundings, which truly helped me unplug and relax. What really sealed the experience was the hospitality. The hosts are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure you have a wonderful stay. They made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
