The place didn’t meet my expectations. The bathrooms were quite dirty and had a bad smell, which made the visit uncomfortable. There’s not much shade, so it can get very hot and unpleasant during the day. It also doesn’t have any attractions or activities for children, so it’s not really suitable for families. Overall, it could improve a lot in terms of cleanliness and comfort.

Very disappointed with the whole caravan park - looks and is dirty and unloved. Spiders cobwebs broken equipment and unclean ablution blocks that lacked appropriate lighting and were always malodorous.
There was some confusion with what is advertised on Hipcamp and what is advertised by the owners - e.g. there is no potable water even though Hipcamp advertised that is was available - also we booked a powered site but were told we couldn’t use the power for cooking equipment (this wasn’t not advertised) and all rubbish had to be taken away.
We left a day earlier than planned because it was one of the worst caravan sites we’ve rated in in the last 10 weeks of travelling around the north of WA. It was also one of the most expensive parks we’ve stayed at - daylight robbery!

No potable water, even though it was listed as amenities. And the receptionist who welcomed us and showed us around was very drunk, really not professional.
Too expensive for what it is clearly.
Would not recommend.

Super nice lady at the reception. The toilets and showers are a bit outdated but everything worked, so good enough for our stay of 2 nights. We had a remote and super relaxt stay. We could even use the laundry facility of the lady at the reception.

There could be more information on what the site has and doesn’t have.
( no rubbish, no dump point, no recycling, very salty water).
Not worth the daily $ which are equal $ to many caravan parks.

The site was a huge dust bowl, the facilities were in desperate need of some upgrades. The camp host was pleasant enough, but wow this place is VERY tired.

I wouldn't recommend if you don't have a caravan as the facilities are not the best, no shade and absolutely nothing to see around.

Camp had essentials in an amazing part of WA. Proximity to scenery and fantastic beaches is the draw card.

This is a marvelous place. The staff were super friendly. We had a really nice grass spot. The toilets and showers were clean. They have a simple shop with food and even beer. The will cook a breakfast for you in the morning and have food available during the day. Everything you need is here. You can have a long walk or a quick one to see the Strombolites. It’s a shame the boardwalk isn’t finished.

We loved camping at Hamelin Pool Caravan Park! Go beyond your first impression of the camp (it’s a bit rusty) as it’s surprisingly nice. The owner was very sweet and let us get power on their own spot during the very busy Easter break. We had no 4G reception though, apart from when we were physically below the Telstra tower. The little pool was nice as well!
