My son and I had a great time camping on the farm. Steve stocked us up with more than enough wood to last our two nights and it was exactly what we were hoping for. To be clear, we were hoping for a low key spot on a farm where we could have a fire, gawk at the cows, and not be surrounded by 80 RVs. If you are looking for lots of amenities and pavement, this isn’t the place. If you want some peace and freedom to roam around a large property, you are in luck. Steve is very friendly and checked in to make sure that we had everything we need. The dogs were also lovely and well mannered, but they are dogs so don’t leave your food laying around. We stayed by the dam near the road. You can hear cars/trucks. If that bothers you, they also have a few site at the back of their several hundred acres, which are well removed from the main road. We had a wonderful stay. The nights were clear and the stars were unreal.

I had the best experience staying for two nights in my swag overlooking the dam. Loved watching the many birds and seeing the herd of cows moving around the large property. Plenty of firewood was provided, nothing better than a good campfire at night! Farmer Steve came by in the evenings to make sure every need was catered for and to have some nice chats about anything and everything. I felt very thankful that Steve opens up his property so campers like me can have an amazing experience in nature and pat Chloe the beautiful dog. During my stay I hiked up Mt Walsh, checked out Coalstoun Lake crater and swam in the rock pools at Utopia Falls. I arrived home with happy memories and a smile on my face. You can’t beat that!!

Only stop for the night arrived around five site was easy to find nice spot beside the dam far enough from the road so no traffic noise all in all a nice spot if your in the area

Steve welcomed us on arrival and filled our shower bag for us. He also saw us off. Very friendly, including his well behaved dogs. We had a walk around the property and meet the cattle, saw a small wallaby and threw a stick for the very excited lab.

We were blessed to have the dam all too ourselves. A very relaxing, peaceful time away. Nice clean camp zones & property. Love how there was campfire & camp cooking zones set up with firewood available. Thankyou for introducing yourself Steve, enjoyed our little chat & your welcoming manner.

We spend 2 nights at this great Hipcamp. Camp spots are well positioned around a dam. Easy & convenient to access from main road. Great walking & 4WD tracks on this 300 acre property.
The owner was very welcoming & hospitable taking the time to show us around the property.

Absolutely beautiful spot, very friendly owners. Easy to find and not far from shops should you need something. Very generous firewood bundle. Very.
Close to the main road and easy access. Very peaceful and relaxing. A short walk puts you in phone reception at the closest hill. ( honestly this was one of the best times to not have service) just relax and enjoy life.

My daughter and I stayed the night, couldn’t have asked for anything more! The site was beautiful and so peaceful. Was greated by the lovely owner.
Plenty of fire wood and kayaks to use on the dam. The best little get away we will be back for sure.

Scenic little camp outside of Biggenden set by a pretty dam on large property. There were kayak's to use, fire place and fire wood. Amazing stars at night! This is a good base to explore Mount Walsh National Park and Biggenden. There was some road noise as the camp is not far from the road. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Directions to your property were awesome however once we arrived we quickly discovered that it was not like the photos listed. Grass was long and property rocky and there wasn’t a track to our campsite. We drove in, looked and considered our possibilities of getting a 3 tonne van down there and decided it was not possible. Unfortunately we then left. We weren’t greeted either and had no service to contact the owner. Most disappointing.

There is plenty of space and options for a campsite. We camped at camp one next to the dam, there was abundant Birdlife, a couple of calves , and some horses that came down to the dam. Todds place was well positioned to the Mt Walsh walking track , Coongara rock walk and Colston lakes national Park. Overall a very nice peaceful camp and well positioned to many of the attractions of the area

Great Aussie bush setting, small picture perfect dam with resident bird-life and other visitors. The camp site is away from the road boundary so noise was very minimal. Easy to find and locate from owner’s description. A visit from Steve was much appreciated. He made sure we were all settled in and ok for firewood and anything else we might have needed. We asked him to stay for ‘happy hour’ and we had a great time chatting about the local area and other unlimited topics ! We certainly will be back sometime 👍😀

Wonderful farm stay, cows came into camp to join us for breakfast which the kids thought was amazing, lots of small birds around the dam. Steve on site was a legend, dropped off an extra trailer load of firewood and the farm dogs to visit the kids. Thanks!

This is a rough diamond in the best sense. If you want to camp beside a dam and be entertained by the bird life, cattle and wild brumbies then this place is for you. There are no bells and whistles but we were met by the wonderful and friendly host who delivered heaps of free firewood. The place is a great base to explore the local area, including Mt Walsh National Park. We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
