FLOWER STATUS - Plants are green/grey pruned domes. (Plant status - 50% of capacity - Replanting of lost plants from flooding.) PLEASE NOTE: You must be self contained. You must have a toilet on board. Come and stay with us on our newly established Lavender and Herb Farm. We are situated less than 5km from the lovely town of Goombungee where you can stock up with groceries, fuel or gas at the supermarket, grab a coffee or breakfast at the local café, enjoy some retail therapy at the Australia Post gift shop or the (seriously great) op shop and then take a walk through the art gallery before heading to the Pioneer Arms Hotel for dinner and then spending the night beneath the stars next to the Lavender or Rosemary. Back Paddock Botanical - Lavender and Herb farm was established in 2023 and although not fully grown yet the plants add a peaceful ambience to the already beautiful countryside around Goombungee. Flowering time for our Lavender Plants is usually November to January, however this can change depending on the weather we get during the season. All campsites are well spaced and private, with non-potable (Bore) water available for washing up after dinner! Wake up to the sound of Kookaburras and cockatoos and enjoy your morning cuppa while watching the grazing Wallabies/Kangaroos and keep and eye out for Echidnas and Koalas. We love dogs and well behaved canine family members are always welcome at our campsites, however please respect the biosecurity of the lavender by not allowing them into the fields and please make sure they do not roam to other campsites. All campers must provide their own toilet, so self contained camp set ups are needed on the farm - what you pack in, you pack out - please respect our farm and the surrounding nature and leave no trace. We can also cater to larger groups as each individual site has plenty of room, please contact us to discuss if we can accommodate you. Please note that this is a working farm so we will be around working in the fields or farm sheds.

Lavender Lane Campsites are open campsites bordering the western side of the Lavender fields and lined with a row of trees to block the afternoon sun. Camp here if you want to be among the Lavender and be the first to see the uninterrupted sunrise. You are closest to the fields in these sites as well as being amongst the wild flowers and the furthest sites from the main entrance. Guests will be 45m from the next campsite with views of the Lavender, Rosemary and rolling hills in the distance. Feel free to (respectfully) wander the Lavender Fields as entry is included in your Lavender Lane camp fee - if bringing the pups on a walk please keep to the contour bank around the fields and not inside the rows. A Non potable (Bore) water tap is available at each site. PLEASE NOTE: You must be self contained. You must have a toilet on board.

Sunset Shades Campsite is a great spot for watching the sunset or having an afternoon snooze in the shade. You may even be sharing the peace and quiet with the resident Wallabies and Kangaroos as they love this campsite. It takes up the entire northern end of the Lavender Fields and is the most shaded of all the campsites. Feel free to (respectfully) wander the Lavender Fields as entry is included in your Sunset Shades camp fee - if bringing the pups on a walk please keep to the contour bank around the fields and not inside the rows. As always on the farm you must be self contained and pack out what you bring in. There is bore water available at the site. PLEASE NOTE: You must be self contained. You must have a toilet on board.

Great spot out of the light to watch the night sky. A front end loader of wood was provided for $20 which kept us going for 3 nights. Communications with Emma were great with weather updates, directions etc. Well done guys

Camped along the lavender field. Peaceful, got to see lots of kangaroos and birds. Emma was a pleasure to deal with. We used this as a base to explore the surrounding countryside

Very peaceful. We had shocking weather so moved to higher ground which made sense. Mark was there to assist if we needed it. He dumped a load of timber by the firepit to compensate for moving which was greatly appreciated. Very approachable and helpful.

Our Easter camping trip at Back Paddock Botanical was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth – the host was genuinely lovely and made us feel right at home. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Rolling paddocks, beautiful open skies, and the most breathtaking sunsets made it the perfect backdrop for a relaxed autumn escape. The cool, breezy afternoons and chilly nights were exactly what we needed to properly break in our new camping setup. If you’re looking for a peaceful, picture-perfect spot to camp and unwind, Back Paddock Botanical is a must-visit. We’re already counting down the days until we can come back.

A wonderful Easter weekend spent here! Level site, could connect to the bore water tap (great pressure, good quality water for showers), very quiet and a nice outlook across the lavender field. Easy to find location, great communication with Emma and close to the township of Goombungee. Did I mention the firepit and supplied firewood?! A great hipcamp to sit and relax.

Emma was a lovely host that greeted us at the gate and showed us to our non-powered campsite. The site was a perfectly mowed out patch of level turf which was secluded and quiet. Highly recommend as a great stop over spot.

Beautiful spot at Back Paddock Botanical Lavender Farm. Views looking across rows of lavender, nice for an evening walk. It was dog friendly, which was great for us. Plenty of sightseeing to do around the area. Toowoomba markets on the weekends, golf range, Muntapa Tunnel, Swinging Bridge & Coomba Falls. Just beautiful and only as far as an hour out. Emma our host was lovely. She showed us to our camp spot and ensured we were far enough away from other campers to maintain privacy. Thanks so much we really enjoyed our stay! 😍🪻🪻🪻

We had a lovely stay with Emma! The camp areas were well maintained with fire pits. The sunset over the lavender was beautiful. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby towns and national parks.

What a wonderful place to recharge the batteries! Emma and Mark couldn’t have been more accomodating. It was so peaceful and will be lovely when the lavender is grown. Lovely flat spot overlooking the lavender and rosemary.

The Lavender fields were absolutely stunning, the sunset and views are beautiful. Can tell the camp is in early stages but definitely has lots of potential to be amazing. Super private camp and very quiet and peaceful. Afternoon stroll through the lavender was exactly what we needed after a long day in the car. Thanks again

Loved our stay here, even extended to stay an extra night. So quiet and beautiful, especially at sunset. Sites are spacious and great for individuals or groups. Emma was super friendly. Will definitely be back again!
